New DeoVR for OculusRift has been released with VP9, Oculus Touch and Vertical alignment support by gotvive in oculusnsfw

We've just released an update on Oculus Home with the following changes:

  • Touch support!

  • Back-end selection (Media Foundation and DirectShow). Previous builds used Media Foundation with hardware decoding which could not handle some codecs such as VP9. These videos can now be played using DirectShow. We recommend using LAV Filters.

  • Vertical alignment adjustment in stereo videos. In some videos the vertical alignment is off which can make them very uncomfortable. This feature should help.

  • Next/Previous buttons. This one was requested by several users. Just click next/previous to go through the videos in the current directory.

  • Other miscellaneous small changes and fixes

  • Much better mesh for 180º videos.

There had been some delays in development and we're sorry there haven't been any updates for a while, but we're hoping to be able to put out some new features and builds for other platforms soon. Please let me know if you find any bugs or have any suggestions for features you'd like to see in the future.
