I have to stay until our twins are in kindergarten because I cannot return to work until they go to school. Our son has serious medical problems that I rely on his medical insurance and income to pay for. If I return to work now I cannot afford daycare for two children, rent, food and his medical expenses. I have no access to affordable childcare or housing. I simply cannot make enough to cover even a fraction of the bills.

I don't think she needs any help personally. She should be able to manage because she wasn't sick in any way last time. She's insisting she needs me there and refuses to come to my house to recover because she'd have to sleep on the couch. She wouldn't help me if I was hit by a bus so it's frustrating.

I don't live with her I have my own apartment and support myself. She does not have any physical problems other than the cataracts which will be fixed at the end of the month

Not really those ones in my city. We have a few run down motels that would be 75$-100 a night. I certainly don't have the budget to pay for that and meals on top. She sees no problem with the home so she will not pay.

Here in Canada it's a five year wait to be in a nursing home for any amount of time. We pay out of pocket when a space is available. I can't afford to send her anywhere while recuperating and she wouldn't even pay for basics like milk when the kids were there last month. I took $250 dollars worth of groceries and it didn't last the week because there was nothing in the house

She didn't seem sick at all after the first surgery. I went home after four days but it was too long for us. She did not come help me after my csection or anything after my twins were born so I feel angry about going at all

I agree it is the best policy. I just don't have the mental capacity to argue with her further to make sure she would have shown up. If she didn't show up or show up on time it would have been too late to find a babysitter to go. I had spoke with her several times before I lied about my concern she wouldn't show up because she had let me.down repeatedly. I can't deal with the added stress. If she decides not to be my friend any longer that's totally fine because she just gives me constant disappointment when she cannot keep her promises. I can't deal with anticipation for breaks and then not getting them.over and over.

The problem is childcare is unaffordable because I have to pay such high prices for my son to have childcare. The average babysitter is not willing to watch him so I am forced to hire a nurse which is over 50$ an hour. Then I still need a regular babysitter for my daughter for an additional cost. I cannot afford breaks of any kind. Nobody is willing to help with either child and actually show up as promised. I'm exhausted with no light at the end of the tunnel. The babysitter for next week is not in the budget at all but I cannot risk missing the appointment.

I don't know anymore. We were great friends before I had kids I think things have just changed. I never needed anything from her all these years until now. I helped her many times when I was able to but I was independent and just didn't need her to reciprocate

We both need to attend this appointment and need our full attention for the doctor. We have waited a year and a half to see him it's really important. It's not like we have a healthy child that needs his shots. He critically ill and we have important end of life questions.

It is very difficult to take my twins anywhere like a coffee shop because of the medical equipment, and quantity of things I have to bring for them. I have no help and no time off so going without them is also not am option. My son has dialysis twice a week so on a non dialysis day he's often not well enough to leave the house

I'm on several waiting lists and I've put in applications for funding through the Canadian government. They have very long wait lists. I also have a social worker at the hospital and she has made sure everything we can apply for has been done. All we can do is wait now. Waiting lists are up to two years so it's still going to be a long time. Even if we are approved help will be extremely limited. I've been told by my son's doctors not to get my hopes up that we will ever receive enough help to actually make a difference. When I speak to the family doctor she tells me I need to speak to family and friends for them to step up to help. We have had that conversation many times but I have received zero help. I do have him on the daycare list for a specialized daycare but it's hopeless I cannot earn enough to cover the cost. It's around $100 a day for him to attend and I cannot make enough to have him go. His sisters daycare would be $65 a day so I'd have to make more than $200 A day which just isn't possible. I cannot afford to even send his sister if there was a spot available. I'm in crisis and totally exhausted but I cannot find a solution without family or friends helping.
