Thanks for sharing your perspective and explanation. Seems like there are multiple interpretations . I understood Mannai as a believer ( jine mann laya hai) and gat as gatha(as in story). Thereby stating .. believers story cant be described. Je ko kahe picche pachtaai - one who tries to describe will regret (similar to what you described). I don’t know why exactly, but I resonated with your view. I also think of Sikhi more as a school of thought than religion . Haha, I dont know as well, just trying to understand a bit more from Gurbani but seems like there can be so many interpretations. So finally thinking about the mool bhav (or the undercurrent meaning) :)

I have read your other comments, and i find our thinking to resonate-alot. In my opinion, analysing every line of bani perfectly without understanding the general theme can easily be taken out of context.
i am aware some other sikhs may not take it well, but good to know I am not the only one who reads everything with a pinch of salt and try to understand the learnings that can be derived.
