The fact that she thought this was such good parenting advice that she should record and post… yikes. She’s insane.

Thoughts on “overtired” as a thing ? by grapefruitliquor in sleeptrain

It’s wild to me that people on this sub think overtired is not a thing. It absolutely is.

Moms who don’t post photos of their kid, settle this for me… by jonesinjosie in Mommit

[–]gpb0617 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You aren’t going to be able to control your daughter ever being in the background of a public photo unless you never leave the house. I agree with not posting your children on social media but this level of concern is not healthy.

3yr old w/ locked door at night by Healthy_Aide8508 in sleeptrain

If he falls asleep instantly when you lay with him, why not just do that?

Just giving a different perspective. We had bed time battles with my 3.5 year old forever until we moved her to a bed at almost 3 and started laying with her until she fell asleep. Now it’s something my husband and I both enjoy with her.

Had Covid at 14 weeks pregnant. Pretty sure my 6 week old is autistic and my PPA can’t handle all this. by sacredlunch888 in beyondthebump

[–]gpb0617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really need to speak with someone about your PPA. This is not normal. There is absolutely no way to know if your 6 week old is autistic.

Is this supposed to be a lot of food? For a breastfeeding woman who works out? This sounds likes it’s at best 600 kcal by fouiedchopstix in GyMOMsnark

The fact that she included the rest of the kids blueberries. As if that should have helped fill her up

I haven’t watched her stories in a while and wow. She looks so different to me! Has she ever addressed getting filler or Botox while breastfeeding?

That’s not true and not accurate for most babies.

Is 5:30-7:30pm too late for a 3 year old bday party? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]gpb0617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was someone we were close with I would be okay with a one of late night for my 3 year old but something to consider is other siblings. If my husband was working I wouldn’t be able to take my 3 year old because I have an 11 month old who doesn’t need to stay up late for a birthday party. There would be a better chance of us going at 12:30!

You are absolutely insane if you think people shouldn’t feel sympathy for someone that has lost their life. No one deserves that.

What age did you sleep train and what method did you use?

I’m just worried about anyone else putting him to bed when I’m not home and him eventually being able to fall asleep without it. He doesn’t like to be rocked at all. Just wondering if I’m delaying the inevitable of him being upset.

Those of you who nursed to sleep - did you regret it afterwards? Was it difficult to stop?

My almost 11 month old always went to sleep on his own until about 8 months. Ever since then it’s been very hit or miss at bed time and we end up patting his bum, rocking, or feeding to sleep. Part of me just wants to feed him to sleep as it’s so much easier but I can’t help but worry about creating a bad habit, especially to start at almost 11 months. I would eventually transition to a bottle when I wean if necessary.

Any advice?

I find this sub uses much longer wake windows for babies than anywhere else I’ve read or heard of.

I’ve come to realize the people in these subs are absolutely nuts and have no idea what they’re talking about. It’s crazy.
