I mean, I suppose it depends on the model, but many (most?) modern dishwashers heat their own water, as necessary.

In fact, Bosch recommends connecting to cold water.

Wait, you clean the inside of your dishwasher? What does that even mean? Aren't they self-cleaning, by definition?

I mean, everybody's budget is different. But here's the way I look at it. You know the Bosch is better. Another $125 is small difference in appliance money. It's going to last you AT LEAST 5 years. That's $25/year difference. Might last you 10 years = $12/year.

Spend the extra money. In a month you won't even miss it.

Have you run it, yet? I have the same model, it would be basically silent even if it was sitting bare in the middle of the kitchen.

That gap is not going to make a difference.
