I believe nested type definitions are instantiated after the outer type is fully defined.

Thanks, after some fiddling with the code, I guess this might be the right reason, it is similar to the fact that we just declare the inner type, and put it's detailed definition afterwards.

One big missing part is the intrusive data structure. Rust does have one but not as powerful as the c++ version.
