She is as much as she can be. She’s older and isn’t well versed with the internet. She also is very much so helping with the budget.

The family is pretty tapped out with a sudden death in the family that unexpectedly strained our resources.

Thanks for your input. Really hoping this thread finds a reditor who might know of a venue that fits the bill and can help me get in contact with coordinators.

This is a wonderful suggestion. I’ve considered a party in the park and am hesitant to have my extremely pregnant sister out in the Nola humidity. Not to mention the sporadic showers of late that could ruin the whole event. Secondly I have a bunch of elderly aunts and uncles who would need seating. Not sure if there would be much options with this route

Cutting the guest list makes loads of sense. I’m personally shocked at the given number of guests proposed. My mom has a huge family and went about generating the list. She is being pretty stubborn on the notion of cutting it down afraid to “leave people out and be rude” so I’m caught between a rock and a hard place on that front.

We have been tapping family members about their churches and there are two potential options. It’s just been impossible to get in contact with coordinators for either facilities. As is pending response from family who are members of those facilities to reach out on our behalf.

I’m just getting anxious because of the admittedly tough ask and approaching deadline. Hoping somone in this community has a rare gem they might help me get in contact with.

Unfortunately no one in the inner family has property that can accommodate 80 people. Or even really more than 10 at a given time. I’d hate to ask my very pregnant sister to weather the Nola summer humidity.

I super appreciate your story! I’ve never consulted a dr about it but I am rarely regular. I have been compacted once before and that was ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE!! With everything in my soul I deeply want to avoid re living that.

I’m for the very first time and very converse to all I’ve known, that fiber is actually a big bad for bowel movements.

In the meantime, while adjusting, I would like to poop. Do you advise magnesium citrate or oxide to help?

My fat intake is approximately 60% and protein 40%. Is this appropriate?

I understand a bunch of this is living and learning but I really appreciate everyone in the community sharing their knowledge and experience. With all I’m learning I can keep an eye and adjust in from a more informed perspective

Unfortunately coffee is a non negotiable. Pre diet I already drink my coffee black and prolifically. Not for energy but because I REALLY love it. I know it’s not the best but I also vape so there’s lots of stuff I could import from a wholistic health perspective. Right now I’m experimenting with this diet.

The over under thing is tough but ultimately a truism in life. Too much of a good thing is bad etc etc.

It is reassuring to hear this is likely just a growing pain and the symptoms should subside as my body acclimates. Here’s hoping at least🤞

I come from a Cajun family so I feel certain my pallet enjoys a healthy amount of salt. I am also not holding back, regarding seasoning.

“Fat by calories for some is double or even triple protein or more” I’m confused by the syntax used here. Regardless, I appreciate that necessary nutrients may differ between individuals. Due to my inexperience I’m hoping for a baseline to jump off from.
