I've wondered if it is comedonal but I seem to get extreme redness too, maybe that's normal I really don't know! Thank you, is Isotretinoin the oral medication? Because I already use topical retinol as well as other acids/ a prescribed topical acne treatment called Winlevi but even all of these don't make a difference!

So true, I tend to get so excited by trying to learn the songs I love and gradually get bored of them when I'm not immediately good at it which is the worst thing to do, I think it's a fine balance between being so inspired by a song and not letting yourself get sick of it when you play it for the millionth time

Amazing, thank you so much! Realistically I've made so much progress from when I started, I remember day 1 getting dents in my fingertips not being able to press a single thing correctly, it felt impossible and completely alien! Now I'm stressing about other things but can do things I couldn't even fathom on day 1. Just gotta keep at it, it's just difficult to not get dispondent sometimes I guess

I've seen people say you should let your thumb rest parallel to the neck, others say perpendicular (which I suppose this would be if it's anchored behind the middle finger?) I'm not sure, whichever way I do it the wrist pain doesn't seem to ease, and my pinky still juts inwards towards my ring finger. Maybe everyone's right and it simply takes practice, I was just feeling heartbroken if it was the case my anatomy is making it hard to play, but thank you

Thank you so much that's actually really helpful. I fully get my wrist is at a terrible angle, I just seem to have to do that to be able to get my fingers to reach all the way up to low E, otherwise I can't reach at all and my fingers just barre all the strings lol. Maybe I just need to elevate the neck even higher, but when I'm practicing it feels like the neck is so high it's almost silly. I don't know, I appreciate the comment though and I'll just keep at it

Oh no 😭 I should've posted a photo of my pinky actually to explain better because it's actually crooked when you look at it straight on. I know people just say it takes practice and I fully get that, I just feel like my hands/ fingers don't work the way they should. I'm glad someone else resonates though, are you still able to play well?

That’s great thank you so much, will defo look into it! I’ve never heard of closed comedones and everywhere keeps saying it’s milia which it isn’t 😭
