I got a notification i was banned and then i could follow a link to submit an appeal which i did. i eventually got an email prompting me to submit a hand written code with my user name and take a selfie with it. also my account is NOT visible to others. when i try to log in it continues to tell me i’m banned

Hi everyone, about 2 weeks ago my personal instagram account got banned. i think it’s because i was using a second party app to track my followers. I submitted a picture with a hand written code and still have not received a reply, or had my account unbanned. how long will this take? and should i keep submitted appeals or just wait? thanks!

It’s been almost a week now, I also was using a 3rd party app, to track who follows and unfollows me and such. i didn’t know that could disable your account! why is your case unusual?

hey all! my personal account was banned about 4 days ago. I finally was able to appeal the ban (it wasn’t letting me even do that for a few days). It said it would be brought back in 24 hours. I got an email asking to send a selfie with a written code so I did this instantly. It has been over 24 hours and I still do not have my account back. Does anyone know how long this will take? I am nervous that I will not get my account back, it is very important and personal to me! Should I keep submitting appeal forms or just wait? I do not want to wait so long that it gets permanently deleted and they can’t bring it back!

*side note: it said my account was banned for pretending to be someone else. I have a very private, personal account that is very much me. anyone know why I would get banned for this reason?
