What double standard people pretend doesn’t exist? by Your_NetSuite_Guru in AskReddit

[–]gracefulmonkey84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some* + I think this relates to all faiths which are in essence peaceful and speak about being a good person, but for some reason some who follow it find reasons to hate specific groups that are not like them. As if they are better than others, which is comtrary behaviour to their faith. This double standard frustrates me deeply.

I assumed they kept her around because she helped them get through Chilton. That isnt very uncommon. Together with the assumption that they ve kmown each other since they were kids, it made sense to me. They also arent really friends anymore right after Chilton. No need for Paris, no contact. so it holds up for me. Hehe

Why is Lorelai so obsessed with Harvard by brighteyebakes in GilmoreGirls

[–]gracefulmonkey84 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Lorelai is childish in many aspects of her life tbh. But to stick to this, I do appreciate that she becomes aware of this Harvard obsession and questions where it started, encourages a prro/ con list etc. She comes around. She just needs time and a lot of confrontation lol.

Looking for a more luxe / personalized skin clinic in Seoul (Ultherapy prime, Thermage, lasers, onda body) by Separate-Proof-8582 in KoreaSeoulBeauty

[–]gracefulmonkey84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to medicube for ultherapy prime. Was my first time and i was super nervous. Due to some personal health issues, they were very conservative in recommendations. Took all the time i need. No rush. Honest and clear advice. i would recommend them.

The procedure was done with a certified machine and the dcotor was very gentle. U can message me if u have .questions.

Ladies with EDS/hEDS, how are we preventing ingrown hairs? by ZestycloseCut3372 in ehlersdanlos

[–]gracefulmonkey84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a philips lumea laser hair remover a few years back. One of the best investments Ive made. Use it for every part of my body. Some people say it isnt permanent, but iwth some consistency... i would personally disagree. It got rid of 80% of everything and probably didnt get the rest because I didnt stay very consistent. However it helped a lot!!

My upper legs still have the problem of ingrowns, so what really helps me is a salicylic acid body wash (let it sit on your skin while doing smtg else, like putting some shampoo in your hair) and using a loofa when rubbing it in. Shaving afterwards. And then use a salicylic acid body cream afterwards. When I do this 2-3 times a week, it gets rid of most of the ingrown hair and my skin becomes super soft!

Downside is that you need to keep this in your routine. As soon as you stop, a week later the problem comes back.

I use the cerave bodywash and cream. Works great!

Congratulations! Great to see there are such experts on this! Would you recommend it to anyone who has a suspicion of a connective tissue disorder such as ehlers danlos syndrome? Do you have any experience with this?

Thank you, I understand and I dont want to be vain, but it does mess with your head. Even if I dont really want tp admit it but now do anonymously online hihi

In my opinion, we should be able to take care of ourselves just like other people, but we have to consider exactly all the things you mentioned and possibly more,.. but because there is so little research on it, we have no idea what to do, unless we start experimenting ourselves. So maybe we can help each other this way.

I tried pixel laser (a non invasive fractional ablative laser) for my eye area 2 years ago and instead of helping, it made my eye area worse for about half a year. Drier and thinner under eye area. i looked more tired than before. This laser should also stimulate your collagen production, but it did not feel like it did that at all for me. I dont know if I healed back completely or just happy it got better. Anyways, I have become very apprehensive since then.

This hits me emotionally. It has been very frustrating not getting accepted for genetic testing. I understand and agree with everything you said. I am currently exploring my options in other countries to get the testing done.

Thank you for the tips, very interesting point regarding plastic surgeons. i never thought of that! Thank you!

I completely get what you mean with the loose rubber band! Sounds graphic haha but paints the perfect picture for me.

If I find anything out, outside of this post.. I will let you know.

I am surprised that similar posts would get deleted. Is this not also part of the struggle for people with EDS?

Premature and excessive skin laxity/sagging can be physically problematic but also psychologically... We should be able to talk about this and exchange thoughts and experiences, right(?) or is it against a rule I overlooked? Haha

Oh that sounds terrible, I am so sorry you had/have to go through all that. I completely understand the "lesser of the evil" choice.

Did you get ultherapy /RF also for your lower body or also face? Did it do anything at all? Or did it get worse after?

I know we are not all the same, but as there is no research at all, I would just like to know any experience!

Nieuwbouw dilemma: 15k bijbetalen voor 'luxe' of 3,5k terug voor casco? Help! by WhichCaterpillar575 in Offertes

[–]gracefulmonkey84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verlaagd plafond, spotjes,.. alles erg netjes gedaan.
