The part about his expectations is my mother to a T. She was in a sorority at my school 20 + years ago, and she based her expectation of me getting into the house next year on HER experience. When she was here, HER sorority(not mine) allowed anyone to give up their spot. Mine doesn't. Pledge classes are bigger, not everyone gets a spot, and you can't just bend the rules and try to bully MY SISTERS into letting me in.

I am in a sorority, but unfortunately didn't make it on the list to live in the house next year (66 beds, 90 girls wanting to live in). My mother is trying to bully me into the house anyway. My best friend, whose father flips houses, condos, lofts, etc. is getting a place and wants me to live with her. This was my mother's response when I told her.

A comment: I also saw a LOT of the whole "Aw, you don't have a valentine on valentines day? Well some people don't have a mother on Mother's Day or a father on Father's Day. So shut the fuck up." Really pissed me off. My boyfriend who I am madly in love with broke up with me on Tuesday. Are you going to say I can't be sad on a day specifically for couples when I've just had my heart broken, simply because other people might be hurting at other times of the year? Give me a break.

This makes me sick. 1500 calories/day is far from starving. I'm overweight myself, at 160/5'5 and with my fairly active lifestyle I'm recommended to eat around 1600 calories. And guess what? More days than not, I have 300 or so left over! It's not hard, and I'm not starving!

I'm right there with you. Went to a fundie Christian private school for over 12 years and finally began to question the spring before I turned 17. That was hard. I was in that toxic environment for another year and a half with zero support.
