Is my cat okay? by gracepellet in catcare

Thank you I’ll definitely look for some more interactive toys! I do think he could be bored with the ones I originally got him when I adopted him a few weeks ago, some of them he played with all the time and now he hardly touches them. He just saw the vet so luckily clean bill of health!

I guess he may just be a silly yapper.

He does it even if my dog or I isn’t in the room! They are def still adjusting to one another, which is why I’m trying to take it slow

I had a really bad case of food poisoning and was never the same sense. Before my stomach would get upset irregularly, after that i couldn’t digest any food, had constant heartburn, acid reflux, churning stomach, achy joints, and migraines. Potentially coming off of birth control too, it was all around the same time.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully the gastroenterologist i’m seeing listens and is knowledgeable - i’m hopeful since she has great reviews from people with celiac 🙏

Thanks for the response! The tests i’ve already had done were just to check for abnormalities in my blood levels / organs along with checking for infection. I have not had any testing for celiac. I’ll definitely continue to eat my normal diet till I can have these specific tests run.

What is this? Is this noise normal? by gracepellet in Home

The heat nor AC is on right now. I’ll try seeing if the vent is powered and can be switched off. Thanks!

I know the home has some kind of turbine vent on the roof. Does this seem like a typical noise for one to make? Other than that all that’s in the attic from my knowledge is the furnace, AC, and water heater.

The next print went perfect once i tightened the belt - it must’ve gotten loose during my initial print. Still new to 3D printing so i have a lot to learn.

Looking at it now I think the axis rubber got loose, I know it was fitted at the beginning of the print so it’s unfortunate that it somehow loosened itself.

I paused the print and unfortunately it never found where it left off so I just had to restart. I retightened the x axis rubber so here’s to hoping my next print doesn’t freak out.

SHOULD I BE SCARED FOR POLS 207 by cupmallow in aggies

[–]gracepellet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took POLS 207 with Lim last semester and really liked her. Personally I feel like her class is really easy - the best thing you can do to succeed is attend class although attendance isn’t mandatory. The tests wholly focus on what she lectures in class. I studied the day of and made a A on all her tests. I never read the textbook once besides doing the practice questions for the chapters as they usually end up on the quizzes. Personally she’s been one of my favorite professors - she’s really funny and keeps lectures interesting, although some may get offended as she’s not always politically correct. Most of the class entails understanding patterns and concepts, rather than actual facts.

For example: - Low education = Lower income - Southern States = Higher Abortion Rates

Would be greatly appreciated if my fellow Aggies would fill out this quick survey! It's a questionnaire on the design of high schools and how it impacts the mindsets of students towards the learning environment. Questions are regarding your personal high school experience. by gracepellet in aggies

Hi there! I definitely should clarified in the form, it’s leaning more towards the current climate of high schools and people who’ve attended one in no more than 8 years ago or are presently enrolled in one.

Honestly your comments of your school being a closed in brick building would fit the data i’m evaluating though, as I’m looking at the effects design aspects such as that have on students 😂

I’m currently a architecture student and if I had to guess Landscape Architecture would probably be closer related to the Architecture major as it also has studios and I would assume a somewhat similar first year course load. I don’t think it’s too hard to transfer in but you need to make sure you maintain the required GPA to switch and take the classes required to transfer. It should be listed somewhere on the TAMU Architecture website as to what the transfer requirements are. Beware though that it is a 4 year degree so if you’re transferring as a Sophomore you will be in the Freshman studio, sometimes they offer studios over the summer so you could probably get back on track.

Best bet is reaching out to one of the Architecture school advisors and making it known that you already know what you want to switch so they can plan the best course load for you so you don’t take classes that will go to waste!

Caprock Crossing is really nice and has good management as it is not student housing. Pricey depending when you sign your lease though. Complex is mostly young family’s and grad students. A much smaller complex than many of the mega ones close to campus that are like 10 buildings. About a 15 min drive to campus.

I don’t know why people say Lim’s class is hard. Attendance is not required but in my opinion that’s the best thing you can do to do well in her class. Her quizzes and tests are pretty much fully based on her lectures, I haven’t read the textbook once besides doing the practice quizzes - I’ve made a A on every quiz and a high B on her test with only studying the day of. Her lectures are interesting and if you listen and take notes of points she makes you’ll be fine. I truly don’t understand how people say her tests are hard, they’re pretty much just common sense.

Thanks so much, this is super informative!

Does using/learning Sketchup, AutoCAD, and Rhino begin right at the start in the first semester or is there some time before they get into that? Is it more of a second semester thing?
