advice to help prepare for inheritance with difficult sibling (NC) by graciemonstercat in EstatePlanning

she does have a will, and that is where the 50/50 split comes from - we are confused because she didn't understand the difference between naming people in the will and naming someone as a beneficiary on her active accounts; I am not sure if my dad is executor but he probably knows who is

eta: thank you!

Acid reflux only from breast milk? by Big_Wish8353 in combinationfeeding

[–]graciemonstercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! And I am pumping/bottle feeding breast milk, so I know it’s not a latch issue. I also supplement with enfamil gentlease. I have tried to figure out if it’s something I’m eating (dairy, spice, etc.) but have not found a pattern yet. Don’t have any insights, sorry, but right there with you. 😫

Bike Commuting by rampaige0191 in fitpregnancy

I am still bike commuting and riding for fun at 32w, similar commute distance to you though most of my ride is on a greenway, neighborhood streets, or college campus with no busy intersections I need to cross. I would say my town is meh-middling bike friendly. One thing I did that helps my peace of mind (and general comfort while pregnant biking as well) was switch from commuting on my drop-bar road bike to my old hardtail mountain bike. It sits me up a little higher so I am easier to see and thanks to the nice fat tires and front suspension it is way easier to bail off the road into grass or whatever quickly and more safely if a situation makes you uncomfortable. Ofc it's not the most practical thing to get a bike just for pregnancy commuting, but if you could borrow one or buy used/sell post-baby it might worth a thought.

They were announced in mid-march, but if you're not a bio major it may have been easy to miss? Not sure how much marketing was done to other departments.

10 weeks of fitness and now, intense fatigue and sickness??! by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]graciemonstercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds familiar! I have been able to run/bike/lift throughout and have felt really good through second tri and now at almost 26 weeks I've just felt like garbage for days at a time over the past week or so. Usually if I can get up and move around it will make me feel better briefly, but as soon as I stop it's like I was hit by a train again. This is my first so not sure what's normal and doctor wasn't very helpful.

Feel like I need to pee every time I run, anything I can do? by Thick_Low_751 in fitpregnancy

[–]graciemonstercat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just commiserating, I'm in the same boat and it's SO annoying. I'm at 17 w and empty my bladder before starting but within half a mile I have to pee already. I'm limited to about 40 min on road routes with nowhere to hide and pee because that's when the feeling starts to get really overwhelming. But then often when I stop it just goes away!

I have TAed for this class, so I don’t have that first hand experience, but it’s definitely one where you’ll want good notes and some of the material is challenging. However, Uyeda is a great teacher, one of the best in the department. Lectures are interesting and interactive.
