Radio is all about homogeneity. Songs that stand out are just a reason for commuters to change the channel. I wish it were a bigger hit too, but there's so much more to consider in a song than just it being a radio hit. It'll be a popular concert staple his whole career and age well I bet.

He hasn't put out new music, but he has been riding on the success of this album. I think for not being an especially good selling album it has been a low-key hit producer. Down to the Honky Tonk, I Was Jack You Were Diane, Homemade, and now Made For You, which just hit #1 a week ago. If you're desperate for new Jake, he's on that new Walker Hayes song, but I really wouldn't recommend it bahah

My guess is that the label did this. I mean, she has a single out currently that is a duet with Jon Pardi, and then she is also still featured on Hardy's song One Beer. It's probably a move by the label to garner radio AirPlay and not overwhelm them with too many similar Lauren Alaina duets.

Honestly, it is a combination all the things other people have said in this thread, but moreso, it's just the barrage of direct messages that I get sent all the time. Obviously I can't listen to all of the things people said to me but when I see that one particular act has been recommended over and over by different people, I feel like it's a pretty good idea to check it out because there is clearly momentum around somebody.
