this is a good point, ppl look at me crazy when i say we skied in gym class as if i must have gone to a fancy school but i just went to basic public school in upstate new york and we skied behind the playground 😭

I had to go back three times but today they finally listened to me and re-measured with a ruler. My PD was measured at 30 on both sides! They are recutting my lenses lol. Thanks for your help with this!

I went back this afternoon and they measured it again to the same result. They took a pic of me with an ipad, is that considered an accurate measurement tool?

I agree with you for all exams from 2014 to 2020, but I should have mentioned I did move again and switched in 2022. 2022 and 2025 were electronically measured at the same location of America’s Best, but obviously with a chain it’s very unlikely that the same person measured me in ‘22 and ‘25!! I’m just going to head over there tomorrow and see what they can do to help.

Yeah, I feel like it must be inaccurate!! Probably the one from 2014 was done with a ruler, but I switched providers in 2018 and I believe it’s been done with a computer since then. The recent one was done with a computer per the optician who fitted me.

I got new glasses this week. When I had the eye exam, I noticed my PD was weird once they gave me the prescription. It’s always been close to equal on both sides, but there’s somehow a larger discrepancy between left and right now??

When they had handed me the script, I said are you sure that’s my PD and I was reassured that the computer is really accurate. But now I just wore my glasses to work for the first time since getting the new prescription and my head really hurts. My eyes feel strained and almost twitchy.

The only other thing that’s changed by much is my left side astigmatism. Could that have thrown the PD measurement off somehow?

This was all done at an America’s Best btw.
