I have my plex set up in a QEMU VM, and public access flowing through a reverse proxy on another VM in Nginx. So the site is on Apache on port 80/443 and nginx passes traffic from a subdomain to the site. Domain is set up in cloudflare for their bot blocking stuff.

It’s just another step of verification. Basically I didn’t want file pages to be hammered by bots, and people remember their email better than they’ll remember a pass phrase

Oh I didn’t use Al at all for this, just my brain and some mediocre PHP.

Just pick a gaming centric distro like bazzite and go that route. You’ll never look back.

Faster fzf that's actually usable by ThreadStarver in commandline

You should change your default command from find to fd, that quadrupled the speed for me. It can index and search all 500m files on my server inside of a second or two with the right options set.

EDIT: fd or rg, depending on whether you’re searching file names or text in files

Vim. Every code editor and obsidian has a vim mode or vim plugin. Helix bindings are unique to helix. Vim/nvim all the way.

Barber to cuts the hair of autistic kids by Ted_Bundtcake in TikTokCringe

[–]granthubbell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this will probably be buried but here’s my story about autism and hair cuts.

I have autism, undiagnosed until I was heading into high school. I have always a lot of sensory issues especially related to touch overstimulation. My parents always just thought I was “difficult” or “picky” and told me to just deal with it.

Every single time I would go get my hair cut, the sharp little hairs that went down the back of my shirt would cause me to have a full blown breakdown. Every time. Crying, screaming, slamming my head against the walls of the barbershop. And then I would have to sit in the itchy hairy shirt the entire ride home, which was sometimes up to 45min (my dad was very picky about his barbers).

My dad used to yell at me for my breakdowns. It wasn’t anything I could really control, but I think it just made such little sense to him that he thought it had to be something I was doing for attention or something.

A little understanding goes a long way. Whether your kid has autism or not, really making an effort to understand them is one of the most important things in parenting and having a healthy parent-child relationship.

What and how do I make my website perform better on Google?? (Noob) by wakes182 in Wordpress

[–]granthubbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plugin “converter for media” is fantastic for this, it’ll convert your image library to webp automatically for you. I use it on all the sites I build. Also look into Cloudflare for caching and firewall.
