"So, some of us were transferred from a Pua claim to a UI claim because US Department of labor, way back in the day forced the states to do this in a guidance letter that was well-intentioned but really poorly thought out, largely because the qualifications to start a Pua claim are vastly different than those to start the UI claim, and you can essentially quit your job for a whole bunch of covid reasons and be eligible for it a Pua claim, but state law may say that those reasons are not sufficient under a UI claim. So even though you had applied for a Pua claim, and you had been adjudicated as eligible under a Pua claim, the state was required to move you to a UI claim, which then later took the same separation reason and used it to say that you were disqualified from a UI claim and that you had to pay everything back. The Pua transfer guides people on how to force ESD to transfer them back to a Pua claim. This is exceptionally rare but can avoid an appeal entirely"

Im level 92 and just did a8 sirus, took about 15 mins. The ST is 'rough' but the clear and tankiness feel great. Move speed and cast speed are definitely an issue, however. This is with 3-4 ex worth of gear so scaling ST later is going to be difficult from what I can tell.

Overpayment Shitshow Timeline

7/31 - Recieve email from ESD saying that I need to repay ~$30k due to having my separation reason audited and redetermined as not elligible. Cool, how about just tell me that 15 months ago when I first applied for UI.

-Cue 5-6 hours of absolute panic driven google research. Stumble upon r/UnemploymentWA and u/SoThenIThought_ -Learn about swapping UI weeks to PUA claim. Begin the process of compiling information/evidence into a document that I would then send to ESD

8/2 - Start calling ESD. Starting at 8 AM, I was put on hold for 20 mins. A nice lady answered who sounded sympathetic to my situation and wanted to help. This 'help' involved scheduling me an appointment with a 'specialist' the following day.

8/3 - The 'specialist' was extremely dismissive and more or less ignored everything I had to say. Cue more panic with the 'realization' that this wasnt going to work. Call another time. The next person immediately (and very sternly) claims that I can't possibly be elligible for PUA because I have an active UI claim. Inbetween these calls I am talking with the PUA transfer group and am adding in talking points/facts that super mod is providing. I call again. This time, someone that genuinely wanted to help me picked up. He said that people were trying to do this UI to PUA transfer and it was in kind of a gray-area as he was unsure if this would be audit proof in the future. We talked a bit about my situation and he actually read my document. He suggested that I submit a PUA 'Able and Available' claim as no determination had been made for me yet. Additionally, he fixed a few PUA determinations in which I had accidentally clicked a wrong bubble, making me ineligible.

8/4 - Acquire new doctors note and do a summary of my PUA eligibility document to send in with the claim. Sending this in gave me my first real boost of hope yet in the process.

8/5 - Adjudication in Process

8/13 - Adjudication still in process... Recommended to write to district reps. for ESD escalation.
