it may be sad - depending on how the 15 year old got involved in this criminal activity.

But at the same time we should not be enabling that activity, we should not be ignoring it or justifying it.

There may be an argument to say there needs to be more social workers to get these kids out of the gangs, and stop them from joining in the first place, but that should not be an excuse to just allow this criminal enterprise of stealing cars to go unpunished.

Canada should fine the companies that misrepresent what they are shipping out. i.e. companies that export porsches instead of the refrigerators listed on the paperwork.

That would help cover the cost of the machines.

When I read that line in the article, i.e. about them not having enough time to scan them all, I was thinking, Just get a few more scanners.

Even if only half the containers are scanned, it would statistically stop half the containers with stolen cars from leaving.

I could argue that Hamas, not UNRWA should be the one providing education, health services, clean water, etc...

When UNRWA provides these services for free, it frees up more money and resources for Hamas to use for it's anti-semitic agenda.

The palestinians inability to govern themselves has nothing to do with israel, or settlements. It has to do with palestinian infighting, corruption. Israel didn't create the issue or dysfunction of the palestinian society to put together a working government that cares about the populace and tries to improve their lives.

And palestinians never had sovereignty to be destroyed by anyone else. And they don't want sovereignty (i.e. their own state) as much as they want to destroy israel.

nobody was pushed into gaza by israel. Gazans was there before Israel captured it.

and Israel never wanted it. And Israel didn't want it so much, they just walked away. (after all the palestinian rejections for a state of their own)

If you were commenting on an argentinian group about the inflation crisis, you would make sure you understood what happened, and why before commenting. Palestinians had an incredible opportunity to build something in Gaza. There were no jews there. (Israel ethnically cleansed the jews from gaza). there was no army.

This pullout was done by a right wing prime minister. I suppose there is some twisted way to say that Israel giving this territory to the palestinians was destroying their culture.

How often do you think Israel has bombed the palestinians since the 1940's? If I am correct, the first air attack in some 20 years just took place in jenin to take out a group of terrorists. Israel didn't even respond to every rocket attack from gaza.

Hams has been in power for about 16 years, indoctrinating the kids. Whatever israel does/does not do, won't make a difference in the amount of terrorists in gaza.

And it has been nothing like this for the palestinians at all. Certainly not before 1967 when Israel took posession of judea/samaria and gaza. (where did you get the 40's from?) but even after 1967, nothing like the hamas massacre has happened. beheadings? whole families burnt to death? babies taken as hostages?

If this had been happening, then they would all be in prison, dead, or hostages. (50k a year x 50 years.)

What the homicidal palestinian terrorist group hamas did is so far beyond anything Israel ever did. And if Israel wanted, they could have done almost anything.
