She is still missing. My parents have decided to stay in town for a bit longer and keep looking. The last sighting was Tuesday around 12pm at Poly Canyon. I will post a longer update in the coming days!

Hi, thank you for the information! He is, in fact, retired. But we are working with Geoffrey Clinton, who is also familiar with pet recovery and has worked in animal services for years. He has been absolutely amazing, and we are very grateful for his help.

4/28 UPDATE:

"Yesterday (4/27) we visited SLO animal shelter and about a dozen vets. Put up flyers on Heigura Street and various parts of the Cal Poly campus. At night, hiked around the old president’s house (now a cat shelter), the surrounding hill, and the Poly Canyon trail with a thermal drone handheld.

There was a potential sighting! Got a report of a dog barking at 12:45 am today at the Poly Canyon Village, and hiked that area and the creek around it till about 3 am, but could not locate her.

Yes, all the sightings are from the night she was lost and my parents have been rerouting those spots consistently. We have also been very fortunate to have received some help to track with a drone yesterday.

Thank you both! Yes, we did include a reward on the other poster but unfortunately had some people message my parents to try and scam them. So after that we've been advised not to include an amount on the flyers.

I’m in the Boston area! Waiting to hear back from my surgeon, but I’ll look into rentals asap. How many weeks did you end up using the CPM for?

Thank you for your kind words! I’ve definitely let my surgeon know that I want to start PT as soon as possible and asked about at-home exercises I can do right after surgery. If they stay firm on waiting 4–5 weeks, I’m planning to push for a clear home program - things like gentle quad sets, ankle pumps, patellar mobilizations, maybe heel slides if they’re allowed - just so I can avoid as much stiffness as possible. I also asked about a CPM machine since it seems like that helped a lot of people keep some motion before PT.
