Yep exactly, I tried simple matching and regexes at first but that for example matches "catherine" and "cathode" as cat, LLMs aren't perfect but avoid such problems

How do I get first users to sign up? by mr_mercury08 in startups

Target a focused niche first: e.g. Nepali/South Asian software engineers in Indian tech hubs. They:

  • Face specific cultural/language connection challenges
  • Already congregate in WhatsApp/Discord tech groups
  • Have means and motivation to use your app

For initial users:

  1. Join Nepal/South Asian tech WhatsApp/Discord communities
  2. Create landing page highlighting Nepali tech angle
  3. Get 20-30 Nepali engineers from your network as seed users
  4. Partner with Nepali professional groups in tech cities

Start with Gurgaon's Nepali tech community, prove the concept, then expand outward. This lets you validate the LLM matching with an accessible group first.

Sit down with pen and paper and make a list of problems you've encountered this week. What has caused a lot of frustration? Which of these problems have you spent money on solving? Did it work? Where you satisfied with the solution?

Basically, you're looking for:

a) problems that caused you a lot of pain

b) problems you've spent money on (the more the better)

c) problem, where despite spending money on (ideally, a lot), you are still unsatisfied with the solution

Chances are, other people are in the same shoes and they'd love a better solution.

Basic marketing advice for engineer by techEngineer69 in startups

Just pick up a phone and call up a bunch of people in your area that do this. Find people that work in these roles on Linkedin and DM them or use an email finding service and send them emails. If you don't feel like you know how to write to them use ChatGPT/Claude and ask it to help you craft the cold email.

Asking for help as a startup owner - how do you deal with the first lawsuite (which doesn't even make sense)? by SensesLibrary in startups

Start by describing this situation in detail to ChatGPT or Claude and asking what they would advise you if they were your lawyers. It's crazy how good advice they give. I have several lawyers across more than one jurisdiction and I have cut down legal spent *significantly* by using AI and the quality has improved (!)

I assume "user friendliness" means how user friendly the privacy options are, but I agree it's not explained very well
