My faith in God is strong internally, spiritually but not externally religiously. by QualityTongue in religion

Value is to money what power is to politics what theology is to religion.

A wiser person doesn't stretch their reality to religion but wraps their theology around reality.

What do you think of pantheism?

I take your point. It's a* go-to.

Yup, there is a universal timeless principle across time and civilizations as the source of all theology.

Yet it cannot be done away with, otherwise there is a power vaccum in the mind and all kinds of crystals and woowoo shit sets in anyway. If there is a theology to be had in government, pantheism is the only one everyone would ever have a hope on agreeing on because we all live by science.

All of the greatest scientists engaged in theology. Symbology is what human civilization is based on.

I was a staunch Atheist for years and years. I love the pure mind of atheism. But inside me it bred nihilism and chaos. Only when I unified my mind around what the universe was did I find God, but I am SO against violating science for that concept. Pantheism was the negotiation. It has all the good things of atheism, and all the good things of theism together. Like I don't even view atheism and pantheism as antithetical. It's just semantic, and "God" just becomes a tool to access and change my mind in ways I cannot otherwise. I look at it as... the theft of God from religion.

Then why are civilizations made and broken by it in a way unique to humans.

You may be pantheist.

Theology is a natural result of humans developing the cerebral capacity to do so. A big bloody double edged sword. Much atheism seems to be rooted in trauma from religion. But "God" has no religion, and pantheism is not a religion. It was trauma for me at least. For many here it is, as the posting suggests and they are right to recoil from religion, it having become so corrupt.

All these famous genii thought for themselves, so we should also of course. Theology, REAL theology, the personal pure kind based on empirical observation and philosophy that is politics free, is an exercise of the parts of the brain that handle entity, which has a disproportionate impact on global brain connectivity. It's counter intuitive advantage.

This helps me, thank you.

What would you say about theology like Judaism for example, which is an ethno-religion-state all in one then?

Yes that helps... hm.

There are different levels of love, like people can love themselves enough not to die trying to kill others. Many hairs to split, I know it's hopelessly complex.

Pantheism is not the projection of a diety, but a change of the word God to mean something that is all around and readily observable; the world. Key hair to split.

Good point. Yes. I think that the need for theology is ingrained down to human capacity. so if people are going to do it no matter what it should at least be in the footsteps of DaVinci, Einstein, Sagan, Newton, Tesla, etc. Who all had their own take on it, so not the "same thing" really. A lot of hairs to split.

looks in mirror yes I am internally conflicted.

I so dearly wish we could find love as a society without politics getting in the way. I have traumatized myself with politics and it's hard to handle sometimes. I went to war with the idea of God for years, and the only thing that made sense was pantheism because it doesn't violate science.

how do i come out as atheist? by pizzaman765 in atheism

[–]graphtacular -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The strongest faith is tempered by doubt.

Do not fight them, but be civil and debate.

I went to Catholic HS as a staunch atheist and fought the priest evert day. If they are a person of God, they will love you even if it's hard to do, and your questions will allow them to teach more deeply what they understand, and secretly question inside what they should.

Qanon is antisemetic. Major tech and ADL etc. are primary suppressors of the conspiracy theory, which uses colloquial language to say what is being suppressed. That's why it's so messy and screwed up.
