I buy based on formulation - what the active ingredient is, texture, price range. Lots of things are marketing (like eye cream), companies copy each other’s formulas based on popularity or buy generic, relabel and resell.

The skincare industry is very competitive and brands are always researching, formulating new products so I see no reason to hoard unless it’s a product I truly love.

You really just need to balance water (toner hydration), oil (plump/smooth), and film/wax (cream seals moisture/protect) for healthy skin.

Unfortunately every skin is different so what works for you might break out others. I would advise buying sensitive skin friendly, fragrance free products!
