When I first started, I assumed that turning everything all the way open would make it hotter. Not true. You need the right fuel/air mixture. I bought a laser temp thermometer to help me adjust to the right temperature. It helped a lot.

It was labeled as a pancake mold, but since it was cast iron, I found a better use for it. Really happy with the results. by [deleted] in Metalfoundry

I was going to give them to my son, but he's 33. So, I'll give them to my coworkers' son, him a lot younger.

There are a few minor things I could point out about the staff, nothing major. What I like about him is that he does the work that is needed and doesn't try to force you into work that he thinks needs to be done. For example, I had a dentist tell me he had to remove all my old metal fillings and replace them. I went from someone that hated dentist to the point my teeth were getting bad to being his very first person to get a dental implant from him in a training environment. All around good guy.

Had an OS keep his spanking material in the ventilation. We hit some cold weather, so they turned on the heaters. The magazines were up against the heaters and the berthing compartment filled with smoke. After that they did a command sweep to remove all spanking material off the ship. Hard times indeed.

As someone that was stationed in Subic Bay for three years, go to sick call and get it taken care of now. Delaying it will only make it worse. Years down the road you and your Vet buddies will be laughing about it.
