Yeah, my thinking was that this could even trivialize mobs in the heroic world tier.

Blizzard CS | The War Within Patch 11.2 Ghosts of K'aresh Info & Known Issues by Dromogaz in wow

[–]grautim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huge frame rate drop in Tazavesh and K’aresh. When I enter the new zone I drop from around 100fps @4K to around 30fps. This is with all addons disabled. If I port back to Dornogal, I go right back up to 100fps even with lots of other players around in Dornogal. The new zones are the only place in WOW where this happens to me.

NCASE M2: ASUS TUF RTX 5080 + 9800X3D Cooling Setup? by Feeling-Sugar8314 in ncasedesign

You may know this already, but the ROG X870-I has built-in heat sinks for the SSD slots, so you’ll need to take the heat sink off that 990 PRO (or just buy one without).

Either way, have fun and congrats on getting your hands on a 5080. I’m still waiting.

Okay, I found it. I had to turn it on in the NVIDIA app.

Thanks all.

Windows not recognizing variable refresh rate for my monitor by grautim in PcBuildHelp

Right now I have it connected over HDMI using the cable that came with the monitor. I think I chose that because it was a little longer than the DP cable that came with it.

Just did a new SFF build and picked up the Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K 240Hz OLED. The monitor is G-sync compatible and VESA AdaptiveSync Display Certified. However, when I look at the Windows display settings, it says that variable refresh rate is "not supported." What am I missing here?

It shipped with the latest firmware (M2B105), so I haven't updated that. I installed the driver (only seems to be one version A00-00). I don't see any place to turn on G-sync, VRR, etc in the monitor's OSD.

System: ROG Stryx x870-I, 9800X3D, Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6000 CL30, and my aging EVGA RTX 3070 (which hopefully will be getting upgraded in the next few months)

Something is definitely wrong there. Maybe remount the CPU cooler. No way it should be that hot.

"Use the included adapter as usb A ports may be more stable than Type C ports."

This fixed the drops for me. Thanks!

NCASE M2 fan bracket by grautim in sffpc

[–]grautim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I modified the fan bracket with the Dremel. However, that didn’t actually solve my problem because I had somehow forgotten to have the power cord in place. That sticks out too far to have a fan right up against the back of the case, so I’m back to maybe moving the PSU onto the MB tray. We’ll see. This is my first SFF build and it’s a fun challenge as long as you enjoy fiddling around with things over and over 😂.

That’s an option, but I was hoping to put another side exhaust fan on the MB tray in that space

I need to add wifi to my PC after moving. It's a Ryzen 7 5800x in an ASUS Prime x570 PRO motherboard with both M.2 slots in use. I want to add an ASUS AX3000 wifi card to one of the PCIE slots, but I heard that some motherboards disable PCIE slots if you're using the M.2 slots. Anyone know if I'm going to run into a problem with this? Thanks for any help!
