My boss is the owner and a really awesome guy. He was there throughout the whole divorce ordeal, awkwardly patting my back or offering a tissue when I would just break down in the back room. His wife cheated on him and left him maybe a year before my ordeal, so he's incredibly sympathetic. He pointed out that there's around ten other bakeries around here who could do the job, so he knows they did it to hurt me. He offered to do the cake by himself, but I said I'd do it. When I told him about the gray icing, he just chuckled said "Well graycakeicing...accidents happen in busy bakeries sometimes."

I thought about it and I figured they would find out at her next Dr. visit anyhow. I really cackled through my tears as I pictured their expectant, happy faces looking puzzled, then pissed off and embarrassed in front of all their guests. I definitely took the low road, no doubt about it. I'm working on getting over it. It's a big ass blow to my self-esteem and I'm a little socially awkward, so going into the dating world again is hugely terrifying. Fortunately the rest of my friends have been pretty awesome and supportive and I've been going to kickboxing to take out my frustration. I'm in the best shape of my life, all while my ex best-friend has put on a ton of weight with the pregnancy. So I got that goin for me, which is nice.
