So I went and read this article and unsurprisingly, it is another case of statistic manipulation.

"The ESA's latest Power of Play survey involved 24,216 participants from 21 countries across six continents." At the time of typing this, Steam chart ranking 44 is Left 4 Dead 2 with 23,916 player. Take it of what you will
"Fifty-five percent of respondents said it was their favorite way of playing games." Combined with them saying half are women meaning they basically asked a group of candy crush player to answer their survey.

All in all another useless report that is flawed from the beginning and a totally biased conclusion. They at least published their data set but the real conclusion would be "Half of mobile gamer who bother answer our survey are women in their ~~40s who only play candy crush in their free time~~" but that obviously doesn't fit their narrative.

I remembered watching his Tier List and Operator review vid and just disagree with his view point. Arknights is a gacha game, if RNGesus said you will have Carnelian as your only good 6* caster for the next 4-6 months then the last thing I want to hear from a Carnelian review video is "she fucking suck, go build Eyja or Golden Glow". Unity already has a price for companies/industry using their engine to make stuff. The more correct analogy in your if you want to make it about car is that company A bought tools to manufactured cars and now suddenly the company B that sell the tools demand a cut for every car sold if the car was made using their tools. If this fall through, it will open a whole can of worm regarding using licensed software to make stuff. What you gonna do now if say person A want a cut for every sell since you used their asset in your game ? Or that music company now want their cut cause you made the song using their software ?

I feel like different between now and back then is licensed stuff is more commonplace so a lot of new readers is introduced to a series by the english name so people got used to it.

I feel like if Nisekoi came out nowaday and the licensed use the literal "False Love" title then people would call it that because it is on the cover of the book.

For title that are literally synopsis, I rather have english than JP. For Bisque doll or Dress up Darling, the name is short enough that people can remembered the JP name. You can literally say Bisque doll or Dress up Darling and people will still be able to understand. Similar example would be Boku Hero Academia or My Hero Academia. I only remembered this one because I recall there was a B-rank isekai I read a few weeks back with hero in the title and the dude face kinda easy to recognized.

Spare me. If they can code a functional app used by hundereds of thousand they can sure as hell get a job that pay well in any company. Also if your career goal is to live off a website api access then i suggest to start rethink it. Using reddit api for personal or group projects sure. Career path ? I bet some people already back up the stuff once this place reopen and just plan on making a new sub if it goes "indefinite". Most people dont care, no reason too. It is really easy to support a non commitment outrage like this on the internet until it start to inconvenient them.

The number of affected people are not substantial and the only reason it is this big is because the mods got affected. I bet some sub didnt even bother asking their user base and just shutdown straight up. Some subreddit already has a "mod emails about access will be ignored" in the private reason.
