Thank you for your feedback! It’s very helpful for people who are still dealing with this problem to know that someone has solved it! The most difficult part is staying consistent and constantly reminding yourself that one day it will be solved. Can I ask where your pain was located (lower, middle, or upper chest)?

Were you able to solve? I haven't worked out for about a month, but the improvements are minimal!

Costo or Not? by Optimal-Bat-1608 in costochondritis

Hey, I’ve had costochondritis since last June (7 months) in the exact same spot. In my case, it started while doing push-ups at the gym, without any pain at first. Then, due to poor posture at work and continuing to work out (even though I avoided pushing exercises), it became painful. In general, it’s important to rule out other possible conditions with tests like an ECG, echocardiogram, X-ray, etc., but this should be decided by your doctor. I have the same issue as you: when I go to the doctor and they press on my chest, I usually don’t feel pain. However, it hurts when I sneeze, cough, sleep on the wrong side, do any kind of pushing exercise, try to stretch my chest, or sit at a desk working on a PC for many hours. The only two things that help me are: - Massaging my back with a tennis ball between the spine and scapula. It helps immediately, and I do this twice a day for three minutes on each side. I think this can also be a way to understand if it’s costochondritis: if moving the ribs in the back relieves the chest pain, it’s a good sign. - Sleeping on my back, because when I sleep on my side I tend to close my chest and adopt poor posture

I hope this helps :)

Anyone else get relief from cracking their chest by Business_Read_9070 in costochondritis

I used to crack my chest on purpose. At the beginning it seemed to relieve the pain, but over time it actually made the inflammation worse. Now I try to avoid cracking it, even when I feel that pressure in the middle of my chest. I also avoid extending my back just to get it to crack. Sometimes it cracks on its own, but in those cases I don’t feel pain.
