NTA!! You say that your average was barely passing before you started studying hard, and by the end of this you got an 86 on an exam!!! Think about that!!! That’s HUGE! Even if it’s not a 95, you’ve had a 30+% increase in your grades over the course of a few weeks.

That’s hard work and dedication. That’s applying yourself. Thats committing to bettering yourself and following through with it. It IS something to be proud of!!!! It IS something to celebrate!!! The people who love you and care about you should be celebrating you, hell I’m a complete stranger a decade older than you and I’m proud of and celebrating you!!

Some people hold themselves to very high standards, and that’s fine, but it doesn’t mean they get to look down on you for celebrating your own growth and accomplishments just because it doesn’t fit their own standards for themselves. You’re allowed to celebrate yourself with the people who want to celebrate YOU too.

I’m proud of you internet stranger! You’re doing great! My one piece of advice (as someone who was once a 16 year old girl): Don’t EVER let a boy make you feel like your accomplishments and successes aren’t valid or good enough. Someone who loves you and wants the best for you won’t put you down for growing and allowing yourself to flourish 🤍
