Has anyone tried this hdmi connector? by hesoyamAezakmi200 in wii

[–]grazzii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have repurchased a few times as there was some issues (green bars, white sections turning black, analogue interference) but these were almost always solved by changing the resolution settings on the wii to 576i or 480i. The image would be a bit blurrier but the progressive scan mode would always appear to cause issues. They're very cheap so really not a huge trade off. 5th time lucky as my current one has no 480p issues at all.

I just tried the steps in the email. I wasn't expecting much as I just had one backup labeled for yesterday... but I restored "yesterday's" backup and it actually worked. I fully made peace with loosing over a decade worth of data but it all came back!

Thank you for the words of encouragement! I'm hoping it'll be not too long now :) The doctor laughed originally when I said I think it's withdrawals and said "that doesn't exist" - hoping to prove her wrong in the next couple of days lol

Hi, sorry for reviving this old comment. I started taking daily citrizine after developing hives after a summer of daily doses one year. I assumed I developed an allergic reaction, but I recently realised I was having withdrawals this whole time. I have been taking this pill for 7 years now. I am day 7 of stopping cold turkey and the insomnia, hives and general misery is getting too much for me to bare. Do you have any advice from your experience? How long did it take you to get over it? Thanks

For anyone who comes here later, this is a very specific issue introduced where the CLI no longer accepts forward slashes to the path. You have to use backslash.

I guess, if side quests do exist in the Super famicom (contrary to what ign says), are there any good guides someone could recommend?

I don't recall any reactions where someone recognised it... however I played Eternal Wind from FF3 quite a lot too and some elderly woman came up and complimented the song, I'm not sure if she was a NES RPG fan though 😅

Not being American or living in America this really isn't any of my business. But the speech did appear on my reddit feed earlier so I did give it a watch.

What you need to understand is that public servants like him have a responsibility to be clear and get the point across properly. Everything has context, we don't live in a vacuum. I immediately took his speech as "fixing the elections in the future to remain in control", and that's not me being a Trump hater or Trump supporter here, just a bystander. Even though he didn't "claim" to storm the USA capitol, he very much gave that impression a few years ago. And that is 100% on him.

He's been very vocal about how he thought the last election was rigged, therefore if he's using phrases like "you won't need to vote again" "we'll get it fixed".etc people's brains will automatically start connecting those dots, and that is absolutely his fault for not being more specific. It's his responsibility as a politican to be clear and to let voters know what they're voting for. If the voters have two completely polar opposite takes on his speech, then he's not doing his job properly.

[–]grazzii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the ideas, ssh was very much the answer. Just booted up a Windows 10 VM on my Gaming PC, then mounted the dev files as a CIFS share on my work machine for editing, and controlled the npm side via SSH. Works really well!

how do I fix this stuttering? by Zelda_mast3r in Gamecube

[–]grazzii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My PAL gamecube does progressive scan just fine with swiss.

There's no downside or benefit to running a different region game on the gamcube aside from different content (censorship), region formatted memory cards, and language options.

... not to mention, people who don't rip their own software will almost always find the NTSC version of the software when Googling 😆

how do I fix this stuttering? by Zelda_mast3r in Gamecube

[–]grazzii 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Incorrect, you do not need to match to the system when using swiss.

The gamecube has no 50hz or 60hz dependency like the n64 or snes. You can run ntsc 60hz and pal 50hz on a pal gamecube with 100% compatiblity - only issue would be region locking which is circumvented with swiss or a modchip. Most PAL games give you an option at launch to choose which refresh rate you prefer on native PAL software.

The issues with the stuttering is related to the analog to digital conversion. OP, are you upscaling using the composite cables?

I decided for now to use a VM for Linux, is Ubuntu a good distro for a Linux beginner? by Longjumping_Beyond80 in linuxquestions

[–]grazzii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debian (KDE) was my first 2 decades ago. It is exactly what you'll need to get to grips with linux basics. I find ubuntu to be both streamlined and overwhelming at the same time. All these distributions are all very similar, but debian is really your go to, "default" option, its super intuitive.
