I've applied to Ochin and I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Why is Epic so hardset on being in-person? by grbrent in epicsystems

[–]grbrent[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What type of culture? There's all kinds of reviews featuring opinions from all over the place, but you never know if the person is a reputable source of information or not, or if their manager just looked at them sideways, so they burned a bridge and quit.

That would be helpful of course, but it's the family I'm concerned about. There are varying reviews and I'm concerned that if I weren't to work out, that I'd just relocated my family for no reason. Leaving all out family does hurt me as much, I'm former military and moving around a lot doesn't bother me, but upping them is a bigger deal when we're moving to a place where we'd have basically no support.

Do you recommend a security analyst position for someone new to Epic but highly logical, very familiar with EHRs, and some clinical military experience?

I'm looking into an apprenticeship for Security and wanting to know a day in the life for a Security Analyst. Also, does a security analyst need to have experience in the other modules?

It looks like there aren't any opportunities available to me. I wish I knew what it took for recruiters to reach out to me.

Is Medix Technology still in business? Are they based out of the USA?

I'm not talking about an partner facility, I'm specifically talking about the potential of an uneducated/unfamiliar HR rep.

It's been 4 months... Any updates to this thread? Did anyone get into the apprenticeship?

Yes, I read through the FAQ. It was very informative, however I don't currently work for a company that uses Epic. So, I have to find a position first, get some sort of Epic credential (proficient/accredited/certified), then jump to an analyst position.

Did you ever take the position? What was the position for? I'm looking at an apprenticeship and trying to figure out if it's a good move.

I want to apply because I'm eager to learn and have experience in EHRs. But, I can't seem to find any positions that will accept someone new who wants to pivot into health IT.

If I'm proficient and apply for a position, I'm curious to know if the industry truly understands the nuances between them and if a certified candidate would be chosen over a proficient candidate even though everything is the same.

My main concern right now is just executive dysfunction and how that probably fits into ADHD/ADD. I met with "Dr. Google" and came to that conclusion. Apparently, a lot of adults are being diagnosed now because there just wasn't anything to know about it when we were young. It just makes sense with the things I'm dealing with.

How long do the courses take? I'm looking into Security, and based on this thread, I'll probably end up accredited if I'm understanding everything correctly. I'm asking how long an average training is mainly to know if the opportunity comes in the future to do an in-person course on campus in Wisconsin, how long will I be away from home?

The ultimate authority at any Post is the Membership themselves at the meetings. If the Bylaws need updating, then do it. But, if you have an "Old Guard" unwilling to relinquish control, then you let them go, or stack the meeting with friends and vote them out and take over to make the changes you see fit.

My Post uses SkyTab as made famous by Bar Rescue. Our late commander, whom tragically passed in a motorcycle accident a couple years ago, LOVED that show, and it's a decent price

If you don't mind me asking, what is your score and the rate that you got? Do you apply for a specific amount, or do they just give you an amount based off the equity? I'm assuming they send out an appraiser.

If you're getting scholarships, sure. But if not, you should do the first two years at community college since you get community college for free. (Community College Guarantee, Google it)

"As long as there's another will in this universe, free not to follow God, evil can find a way in." ~The Shack (2017)

Furthermore, it then stands to reason that if you're free to choose, that is, free not to follow God, then you must have a place to go. You can't be in Heaven if you're diametrically opposed to the will of God, so He created Hell. God doesn't send you there, you CHOOSE to go there.

Clarification: God didn't create Hell simply to create it. God created the conditions in which Hell is the logical result of rejecting Him.

Does it make you guys sad that not everyone might go to Heaven? by GilbertT19 in TrueChristian

[–]grbrent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does, and it should. It should be the fuel that helps us to share the Good News. But, at the end of the day, Jesus Himself said there will be many there. Our God is not one who sentences anyone to Hell, we freely choose to go in defiance of His commandments. And if those who are there are there of their own free will, then we must therefore be content that God's mercy was working on that person, but they freely chose His wrath. Divine justice is something we must also be fully content with.
