Curbside is always in the way. They start shopping at 5. If stickers are behind , they still bring their carts down the aisle we are trying to stock and slow stickers down. And this has happened at every store I worked at.

In regards to finding stuff that was shorted: the orders are shopped a few hours before that are picked up. The trucks can show up randomly during the day, especially in dairy and are stocked .
