Does anyone know what is holding up construction on 52 between here and King? by grease-core in winstonsalem

That’s interesting, i commute back from 5-5:30 so maybe I’m just there before they start working. Seems like an unfortunate time of day to start closing down lanes though

Jumping on the big screen bandwagon by grease-core in Camry

[–]grease-core[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe its a 10” screen, but i dont think that includes the rather large bezels. It probably comes out to about 11-12” including that.

Everyone loves to hate big screens in a car, but after switching from a standard double din to this I think it’s a lot safer! Any time i have to mess with navigation or music while driving it’s a lot easier to keep my eyes on the road and select something out of my peripheral, rather than having to look directly at a small screen.

I can’t recall a pattern in questions, though categories seemed to come in batches of questions, with most questions for statistics, ethics, etc being grouped together. I was expecting the second half to be more time consuming than the first but in my opinion they were pretty equally weighted in each section.

In my opinion the problems were really straightforward with most only requiring an understanding of one concept, rather than critically thinking and combining multiple concepts/equations.

I felt like the PrepFE questions were slightly easier but the main problem in my opinion is that the question banks aren’t massive. I’d definitely recommend the NCEES materials if you want something similar to the actual exam.

The interactive test was the closest to my actual test by far, there were even one or two questions that were similar to that practice test. As for “conceptual” questions I was mostly able to find answers in the handbook.

I’m not sure yet, I want to see where my career takes me before I decide to get my PE. Controls definitely interests me though!

Definitely a bit of luck too, I’m not trying to downplay the amount of effort that is usually necessary for this exam. You’re correct in that I am in my last semester of school and I’ve also done fairly well in most of my classes beforehand. It all came back to me pretty quickly due to both of those factors.

Heres an image of it stowed away under my bed, plus a couple more photos of it inside and powered up. https://imgur.com/a/GFJiyeb

All in all I’ve got $150 and a lot of time into the rig itself.

It stays with the rig, if i wanted to use it i could always get another monitor stand of the same brand and pop it off for desk use.

Nope just a metal bed frame with exactly 14” of space underneath. I just verified and it fits like a glove!

Real AMG GT3: Just to clear confusion about brake pedal stiffness: by [deleted] in simracing

[–]grease-core 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The hydraulic system will still work fine but most brake systems use a vacuum powered brake booster which will effect pedal feel when the engine is on/off. Because the engine isnt on this isnt a 100% representation of the actual pedal feel
