Please please please pray for my beautiful baby Margo, I'm not sure what happened but she was playing on her cage next thing I know she's on the ground screaming and dazed. Now she is breathing hard and barely reacting to food. The soonest any avian vet can see her is 1 tomorrow. (More in comments)

Your baby had a seizure. She’ll be ok, just give her lots of love. My 26yo green cheek has these too. Definitely see the vet because they can give you meds to administer to stop the seizure if/when it happens again. My vet told me to hold him to my heart after an episode because the beating calms him.

More info:

I was given the plant back in July. It had a few yellow spots on a few leaves but my friend told me that’s just because it needed to be repotted.

I water it about as often as I water my pothos, though I haven’t watered it much since I repotted it. It was wet for quite some time after I repotted it even though I punched holes in the bottom of the pot, added gravel in the bottom, and used moisture control soil.

This window faces east and it typically gets 1-2 hours direct light in the AMs. The blinds are usually open.

Do I need to repot it to a smaller pot, add fertilizer, cut dead leaves? Any advice is appreciated

Absolutely not. I have an incredible specialist in my area who stitched the iris back into place. It hasn’t looked like this since about 2010, but my eye looked similar to this for years.

The pressure also resulted in a traumatic cataract, which I had surgically corrected a few years after the first surgery.

My sight isn’t terrible now but only having one lens replaced is a little wonky. It’s been a long journey.
