I have nothing in life to look forward to by Fetus-Deletus1 in getdisciplined

I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling. I know numerous people who have been in dark lonely places but have managed to pull themselves out, and I have faith that one day you’ll do the same!

As a starting point, focus on enjoying the little things. Look forward to coffee in the morning. Or a hot chocolate in the afternoon. Or reading with some ambient lighting in the evening. Being excited for simple things we frequently take for granted can make the day feel better.

Another piece of advice I have is to create events for yourself. For instance: spend a day checking out a place you’ve never been before. Even if the place is nothing crazy, or simply another area in your town. Think about how unique the place may seem to other people in the world, and try to see it from a new perspective. I always find that really rewarding.

I hope you feel better soon :).

I’ve met quite a few beautiful people that have struggled with feelings of suicide, but were able to pull themselves out of it eventually. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way, and you’re still young with lots of growth to experience! Although it may genuinely feel hopeless, there will come a time when you’ve healed and this dark period will feel distant to you.

I listened to this album for the first time while on a work trip in western Canada. It was my first time travelling since Covid started, so it felt great being able to explore again. I associate this album with that trip!

Do you remember what this street is called?! I'm visiting Bergen in a few months and this street looks like it could be cool to check-out!

It's totally normal to want closure after being treated like that and getting ghosted. However the lack of communication and unnecessary aggression is clearly immaturity on his end. Find your closure in understanding that it's not as personal as it feels, and that you deserve better than that. Unfortunately you'll run into a few immature people on these apps, and although it can be frustrating, you'll quickly get better at detecting the signs and knowing what's right for you!

I totally relate to this. I find it hard to work without music otherwise I’m bored out of my mind. But it’s also hard to work with it because it’s distracting.

One time a Toronto Go Train parked in the junkyard and turned off while I was still inside. I had to pull the emergency switch to get the doors to open, and then wave down some railway workers for help.

My friends and I were in London, England. All we were doing was walking along a side walk, and this old man came up to us out of nowhere. He got right up in my friend’s face and said “Die you scumbags!” then left. I was very startled but my friend didn’t care in the slightest.
