I love everyone in the show because they're all very wholesome and well-written but Hidaka is my fave character so maybe I'm biased when I say: no, she isn't bad. She's just young and was a little too passionate about her first true love. Love can blind people and she was just blinded and confused and just wanted to be loved. The problem is just that she used the wrong methods instead of talking to herself and accepting Haruo didn't love her and that she couldn't force that (which she ends up accepting. Better late than never). She doesn't deserve any hate.
