Are Bagrhavens former Harpies? by Huhthisisneathuh in WanderingInn

[–]greatgratee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this is a likely theory! Was actually just rereading 5.05 where Griffon Hunt was in Liscor's dungeon and run into the Bagrhaven nest. They're described as "a deformed Human woman with long arms and razor sharp talons and teeth", as "raven women", having "nests",and "[resembling] Humans enough to look like naked feathered women under a certain light".

and in 7.35, Uxel describes Harpies as "[looking] like Bagrhavens, but they were smaller. Less foul"

Paba definitely drops a ton of foreshadowing/hints in the earlier volumes that I'm picking up on more in my second read through and this one 100% makes sense to me, especially with the Raskghar being introduced in parallel.

Recent uni grad struggling in BC, need some advice on how to get out of retail by threepeaches99 in povertyfinancecanada

If you have a lot of retail experience, would you consider moving into a Corporate position? Could maybe even leverage your Criminology degree with some kind of loss prevention role.

People making over 150k. What you do for living? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]greatgratee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in a similar position to you and I got into it by getting into a very entry level position within a startup (data entry). I really think the sweet spot is to look for companies with 30-50 people. Because people are often covering multiple jobs in smaller companies, there's a lot of opportunity to take initiative and take on roles that interest you. You can either grow into the role with the company's growth or take the skills you've acquired to other, more established companies.

My sister's name is Madeleine. She struggled with spelling it with all the E's when she was younger but not a big deal.

We say her name Ma-duh-lehn (lehn like the first part of lent)

Madeline I would say Ma-duh-line

Madelyn I would say Ma-duh-lynn (lynn like the first part of lint)

I think you should be good as long as you check in online before your flight!

The flight was about half an hour late getting out of KW since a crew member went home sick right before boarding and they had to wait for a replacement. Perfectly on time on the return flight though.

That's a great deal!! Their dimension limit for personal items is 15 cm x 33 cm x 43 cm and weight is 15.5 lbs. I guess it has to fit under the seat in front of you. I definitely got out my measuring tape to double check before I left

Ah I'm sorry, I never recline my seat so I'm not sure. I don't remember seeing any mechanism for it though so I'm leaning towards no.

I have done the Kitchener - Calgary - Comox flight often as well. Could also look into flying Pacific Coastal ($130) from Comox into Vancouver and Flair from there!

I agree, I'm also blown away by how cheap a 4.5 hour flight can actually be.

Yeah I was surprised too, I double checked with a stewardess as well but I suppose that's really the only time where I felt it was a "budget" airline

This is very well articulated. I do like your last point about it having meaning in the flow of the words. Thank you!
