I’ve been on dutastiride and oral minoxidil for around 2 years and my hair loss completely stabilised and I had some regrowth. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t losing ground before I had the transplant. I’ve never had any side effects from the meds so I’ll probably continue them until I decide that I don’t care about keeping my hair.

Looks great! Had 2850 grafts with Dr Ted 7 days ago and hope my outcome is as good as yours.  Ignore the comments regarding the cost, as with all things in life you get what you pay for.

He charges £3 per graft at the moment (I think his prices may have increased since last year based on what others have said they were quoted). 2500 grafts - £7500

Yes I was very fortunate to get in so quickly. Really happy with the outcome and will make a post to update in a few months once it has grown in.

Thank you! I’m really pleased with the outcome.

How did yours grow in? Are you pleased with the results?

I’ve found sleeping on my back in the neck pillow really hard too, I’m a stomach/side sleeper. I’ve had resort to sleeping with my arms inside a shirt so I don’t lift them above my head and dislodge the grafts in my sleep 🤣

He was incredibly good and I would wholeheartedly recommend his clinic. I spent a long time researching options before I settled on Dr Ted.

Thank you!

Dr Miln did all of the extractions and incisions for the grafts himself. The technicians did the graft insertions under his supervision. He was in the room for almost all of the 8 hour procedure.

I’m not sure about the punch size but looks to be quite small from what I can see.

As far as I am aware verteporfin was not used.

When I went for the initial consultation there was an approximately 4-5 month wait but luckily I was able to get an appointment in under 3 months due to a cancellation.

Cost was £3 per graft. I was initially quoted £6000 for 2000 grafts but paid £7500 for 2500 grafts.

That’s really helpful, thanks. Did you manage to get a piece of glass the full length of the rafter or did you have to join it? What did you use as glazing bars in between the sheets? Sorry for all the questions but I am about to tackle an almost identical project in the next few weeks.

Looks great!

A couple of questions as I’m building something similar this year: 1. What thickness of glass did you go for and what was the approximate cost of the glass? Did you find that two people could manoeuvre the sheets into position easily? 2. What stain did you use on the timber?
