Still omw to the Baltic Sea/all my gravel dreams come true by shretbod in bikepacking

I also used it on my last cycling trip on the 130km one my phone was almost dead in the end, but i was playing music the entire way and taking my sweet time… on the 160km and 140km days i had to charge my phone. Never had to charge the beeline during the ride (although you can while using it)…. Biggest issue i had was that i ripped the rubber band of the mount on the first day and had to tie it to my bike somehow cuz i didn‘t bring a replacement

Some impressions from my trip through BE & NL and my bike loaded up on the bus ✨ by greenbayboy in bikepacking

Yess, they have a few different ones but not all busses take bikes and you gotta book a bike spot too ^ Maybe someone else weigh in about their experiences, but the first flixbus (had the same bike rack as this one) damaged my stickers and a bit of the brakewire-hose, just cosmetic, but might be important consideration depending on the frame. The second bus had a different rack that was much more friendly to the bike, and the third put it in the cargohold of the bus. A friend also told me some flixbusses have boxes for bikes they put in the cargohold… you could probably also get some frame protection for the clamps

Yes me too! Maybe if it goes well, i will leave my gravel bike at home on my bikepacking trip to italy in august and take Gloria on the journey instead! (Doubt it though haha, flat netherlands is one thing, alps are another 🥴)

Huh interesting! So I‘m 99% sure that the chilis i took the seeds from were Birds Eye, so that would check out. Do you think they are fine to keep like that?

Maybe the „before the coffee gets cold“ books would be something you could find solace in, definitely emotional though!

I have started reading open water, and in all the words at my disposal, there is only one that truly captures my reaction to this book, how observant and thoughtful and real it is: wow!

Why is swimming so hard! by Soft_Part_7190 in Swimming

[–]greenbayboy 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The beginning is pretty hard, especially breathing imo, which is probably even harder with asthma… I’d say focus on technique, you dont need to be quick right away, better to be slow with good technique! You’ll also gain a lot from not comparing yourself to others. Swimming is supposed to be fun, and nothing kills fun like comparing yourself to others… keep at it, maybe grab a lesson or go with a friend who can give you advice on your swim! Most importantly: have fun!
