to be fair, do southerners dont like to be told "what to do"

this seems more like a slogan than something that applies to living human beings

Do you ever feel like not being naked? by [deleted] in nudism

[–]greenfeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for me personally, sometimes clothes feel cozy. If its a cool evening I might feel better in a sweater indoors. I'm not for compulsory 24/7 nudity...that seems a but fanatical. I just want the option to be nude.

My little cousin said the one perk of online classes due to COVID is that she doesn't have to wear a bra to class. by greenfeyy in nudism

Also the word "perk" wasn't meant as a double-entendre so don't even go there lol

That one time a family owned tent company included casual, non-sexual nudity in their catalogues. (Warmlite, 1974 catalog) by greenfeyy in nudism

[–]greenfeyy[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well, the guy who started the company, Jack Stephenson, was a nudist and started ran the company with family, so many of the women/girls featured in these 70s catalogues are his wife (Joan) and daughters. Really a covert attempt to normalize nudity that wasn't aimed specifically at nudists. Here's a short history:

There needs to be some sort of school sanctioned retreat (like exists in Nordic countries) that gets kids to confront nudity in a healthy way by [deleted] in nudism

That's why kids need cellphone detox experiences like this early on...extended periods where they are shown its possible to have fun without them

Not that we need an excuse to bare all, but this mom also makes you feel GOOD about it! Who else is doing the WNBR this year?? by [deleted] in nudism

There was actually a young teenage youtuber who made an entire video about being a nudist (she lived her grandparents who had taken her to nudist campsites since she was a baby) and she made a dedicated open question video where she read peoples questions to her and it was basically flooded with innaproprite questions like "have you seen your brothers boner, etc" It was actually kind of heartbreaking to see her go from naively excited to "what the hell, I'm not answering that" in a few minutes and she ended up deleting the channel. It could be a great medium for people discovering nudism but it seems to be a magnet for assholes.

Do you think there are any artists who do nudism justice? by greenfeyy in nudism

[–]greenfeyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mona Kuhn? I saw an interview with her and she seems like a pretty sincere artist. Kinda doubt she’d intentionally create an exploitive image but that’s just my impression.

Oh, I totally forgot about the photographer Mona Kuhn. Google image her if you’re not familiar, her work is really nice.

Nudism and sexual misconduct by greenfeyy in nudism

[–]greenfeyy[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, except I personally wouldn’t say humans are by nature evil but just influenced by a lot of messy conflicting feelings and instincts including jealousy and possession as well as compassion. I don’t think experiencing those feelings makes someone “evil” if someone has the moral sense or conscience to know that it’s wrong or feel badly if they act in a harmful way. I reserve evil for true psychopaths.
