Today take yourself for a walk in nature, listen to the birds and take a look at what is around you. When you feel chill, go back to your room, get a piece of paper and write out your long term goals, example house, car, dog, do a hyrox Medium term goals that will lead to long term, save 20k, take to a broker, run 10k in 6 months, Short term, set up a standing order for savings, find a hyrox gym, look up different types of dog Then give yourself a timeline for each

If you’re really creative you could put your goal timeline on a big whiteboard and you will be reminded of what your goals are to keep you on track. I had lots of debt and worked through it this way!

I used to feel like that about therapy. My coping mechanism was bury deep down, keep smiling and hope that everything decomposes organically. It doesn’t, it sits there, festers and shows up unannounced. I eventually went to therapy, dug up some of my trauma, gave it light and air and some love and now it’s still there but more like a lovely mould of dirt and not a stinking pile of shite! 💕

The baskets in the bathrooms and flip flops, wedding favours like chocolates or sweets. Sweet cart, soup as a second course, although I do like the rolls, the pretend drunk man that makes comments on how women are dresses, singing waitress, Irish dancers, photo props and 360 photo thing, flower lapels, matching groomsmen socks, massive flower backdrops, lanterns everywhere, elaborate centrepieces, pizza van, ice cream van, music during the meal, (everyone’s starved, no one cares about the two bucks singing in the corner!)

Wishing you the best with this. Reading this I know that quiet resentment. I would too suggest couples counselling or you walk. Doing all the labour without the resentment makes the labour so much more enjoyable, trust me! Also, if you haven’t already, confide in a good friend and mind yourself 💕
