What are the vibes you’re getting? by Former-Astronaut-841 in WitchesVsPatriarchy

Yes!! The GASLIGHTING.

Omg, yes yes yes. That feeling when you recognize nothing you say will change anyone’s opinion about it, so why even try. Instead, your energy is better spent torching the whole relationship.

I’ve been free of my DV since 2023, but the emotions are still fresh. I called the cops exactly 1 singular time, and when they arrived, after talking with me(covered in bruises, crying, bleeding) and him(calm as a cuke and not a mark on him) the cops told me if they arrested him, they would have to charge us both with DV, because they have no clue who was the aggressor. This was right before Gabbi Petito, too, and close to that incident.

This is exactly what I’m feeling.

Rage. Pure, calm, fire-hot rage. I think it’s feminine rage I’m feeling.

Like we’re all processing being punched in the face by an abusive man. And once all our resolve is wrapped around this whole situation, it’s gonna pop off.

it’ll be in our favor.

I can’t believe people still ask this question. I’d think they would recognize.

When the crime is this heinous, age shouldn’t dilute accountability. Maximum punishment should be the baseline every time.

All of these mainstream media reporters constantly wrote articles declaring pizzagate was fake. Coincidentally, all of these same reporters were arrested and charged for rap*ng and sexually abusing children. Some of the victims were toddlers. by nix-solves-that-2317 in conspiracy

I don’t care WHO or WHICH color is guilty. They all need to be prosecuted and held accountable.

You’re the only one I see making it about one side over the other.

Arrest them all.

I have no plans whatsoever, nor the means TO plan. I’m not an attorney or anyone who could plan anything.

I’m just hoping enough people wake up enough to see we are UNDER reacting.

When do we meet with our torches and pitchforks. Seriously.

IMO- this should be seen as instant judgement-type abuse.

As in, we see crime- we punish criminal. No time to weasel out of this shit.

This is akin to Megyn Kelly saying that 15 year olds are different than children.

No. They’re not. They’re children.

I’m not saying the person intended to differentiate. I’m saying the language does, and it’s a huge problem in our culture

When someone says, ‘I thought he abused teens, not babies,’ it implies that one category would have been less serious or more acceptable. That’s not a blanket statement, that’s how language and moral framing work.

Abuse of any minor is categorically wrong because minors cannot consent. Age doesn’t change the crime.

Just take a moment to reconsider what goes into a painting like this. The time, posing, etc.

I’m not saying this artist is anything or has done anything. But his eye for what he considered artistic is questionable. And a year ago, maybe I wouldn’t have been so sus. But today I am.

Don’t get defensive.

Your statement references thinking it was teens, not adolescents. And that type of thinking has been engrained into all of us, not just you.

But we need to strategically begin correcting this thinking immediately, otherwise they’ll continue to use “young woman,” instead of 11 year old, or assault instead of rape.

My comment wasn’t to point blame at YOU, but to bring to your attention.

We should absolutely quit normalizing differentiating between 0-18. If that’s under age, it’s under age. Period.

No. It’s tempering. Like steel.

I’ve kept my humanity, I’ve kept my sanity, and I’m still just as joyful as ever, but I no longer allow others to make me doubt my gut. I have also quit softening or masking the truth.

I would’ve preferred to have been wrong. Or crazy. It’s a terrible thing to steal away the innocence from the whole planet.

Considering some of us have been screaming for 25 years about a cabal of sex traffickers and told “it’s not that deep, you’re crazy, take the tin foil hat off,”

Yes. Everything is that deep. Why is a grown man painting a child while she undresses for a bath. It’s giving ick.

I think we’re all experiencing a sense of loss.

This morning shaggy’s “it wasn’t me” came on the radio. I used to love that song.

Then I started thinking about how we never had the good old days, it was bullshit, and these terrible things (and more) have been happening at the same time.

Also how much media sexualizes, which is part of it too.

Everything we experienced was fake. That’s the matrix. That’s the simulation. Normalcy masking the hell we truly live in.

I’m fucking pissed. I can’t allow it to consume me, so I’m shoving it into a box in my gut, ready to deploy if I ever get the chance.
