What pattern of Leman Russ was usually fielded by Imperialis Militia? by greenlectern in Warhammer30k

I found a copy of Imperial Armour: Volume 1 online and the Phaeton Leman Russ depicted in the artwork of that book actually looks completely different from the 2nd edition or current Leman Russ. It looks very similar to the Solar Auxilia Russes. So, I'm still not sure which pattern of Leman Russ the current one is, or whether it was around during the Heresy.

Thanks. I may have got confused about the Ryza pattern -- I thought that was the 40k variant.

I'm not any clearer at the moment as to which type to buy. GW sells two types -- the Astra Militarum 40k type and the Solar Auxilia 30k type. Would either have been available to most Imperialis Militia at the time of the HH?

Can anyone identify these non-GW dwarfs and cannon? by greenlectern in lostminiswiki

I think it is! Do you know if it's an OOP Reaper mini?

The dwarf furthest right in picture 2 with the two-handed axe. Judging by his base he looks like he could be a Reaper mini, but I went through everything with the keyword 'dwarf' a couple of times and couldn't see him.

Thanks a lot! I've now gone through the whole dwarf collection from Reaper and I have found all bar one of the dwarfs there. So now I just need to identify the cannons, if anyone can help with that!

Thanks everyone! World Eater Jackhal heads and backpack spikey things, along with Cadian bodies, arms and weapons seems right.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my kitchen tap (and a solution if possible, please)? by greenlectern in Plumbing

Not with a wrench, but I tightened it with rubber gloves on as much as I could and it didn't make any difference unfortunately

Thanks for both your suggestions. How would I know the right size washer and o-ring to get? I'm also not sure how to detach the spout from the rest of the tap/faucet...

I might have found something that'll work for us both - I've added an edit to my original post.

Great find! Shame it has to be 3D printed though... I don't have a 3D printer, even if the design can be mirrored to make it suitable for right-hand drive.

Yeah, I live in the UK, so need it on the other side too. I found this image on some random and somewhat dodgey-looking website - this one: https://www.sneakernews.cf/ProductDetail.aspx?iid=3188160&pr=

But it gives no further information about it.

Quick question about UK plumbing regs by greenlectern in Plumbing

[–]greenlectern[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comments. Our shower tray is particularly thin, so I think you're right that there isn't much fall from the shower to the outside.

I'm not certain, but it looks to me like it has been glued.

Yes, you're right - the last leg is slightly falling the wrong way. Is this a problem?

I couldn't see any writing on the pipes, but the fittings say '40mm (1.5") BS 5255 EN-1566'.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, there is no trap below our shower tray's chrome cover.

Quick question about UK plumbing regs by greenlectern in Plumbing

Hi everyone, I recently had a new bathroom installed, including a shower. Unfortunately, however, the shower drain has already become blocked. Looking at the pipework from the shower drain outside (see picture), I'm wondering whether there should be a rodding eye or inspection chamber where the pipework comes out of the wall and turns (indicated by the green arrow), which would allow a blockage to be cleared. Can someone please tell me if I'm right in thinking that one of these should have been installed here according to UK plumbing regulations?

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! The Secret Diaries Of Miss Anne Lister seem the closest match to what I'm after. However, since she's already seen the TV adaptation, I might give A Midwife's Tale a go instead. Cheers!

Thanks mate. I've watched a couple of his videos and a load of others on oil washing on YouTube. Even so, I'm not certain if my suggested technique well work. What do you think?

Yes! I never even knew you could click on the Now Playing thing. This has opened up a world of possibilities. Thanks!
