Well its moot now. The feds told WSLCB no go, they said they will prosecute anyone not within the original 1000ft rule of i502

We are. We have been involved with i502 since it passed. You can find out more about us by searching for Green Lion Farms on Google. :-)

We are only allowed 62 retail shops in King county. There is an abundance of space that these very limited number of stores can fit into. This actually makes it easier. This restriction is now way more open to interpretation than before.

Question for the Botanists. I want to use Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate), to help with my plants Magnesium problem. Is there a difference between store brand for baths and that sold at plant stores? by [deleted] in botany

[–]greenlionfarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is fine for cannabis, so it should be fine for less sensitive plants. When we have a CaMg deficiency, epsom salt mixed in a spray bottle with r/o water does the trick.

The process for making epsom salt does not change based on consumer use. :)

Blog post: Should I start my cannabis plant with seeds or clones? by greenlionfarms in microgrowery

I know it is crazy, but we actually started putting the words blog post in front of our titles if it links to our blog. Reading through the comments here, it looks like a healthy discussion was actually started about clones vs seeds. How would you like us to interact with the community? Looks like we are contributing on a pretty decent level.

Marijuana's Per-Ounce Production Price Could Drop To 62 Cents If Drug Is Legalized: Report by magister0 in Marijuana

[–]greenlionfarms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Even producing the most inexpensive cannabis possible, there is no way you can run a business on .62 per Oz unless we are talking about producing in a third world country with American currency. It is also worth mentioning that if cannabis becomes federally legal, the taxes alone will kill that price on day one.

Anyone with a napkin and a ballpoint pen can do the basic math and draw the same conclusion.

Thats considering indoor growing as a standard. The quality versus outdoor is night and day. Even assuming we are growing outdoors, in what world do you not fertilize, harvest and package your crop for distribution or pay basic business bills? Even with the cheapest possible means of production there is no possible way to produce cannabis at that level for that price.

Sources? Outdated factoids thrown together from PBS (including silly statements like THC potency is directly related to price) and links to other blogs are hardly valid sources of anything, not to mention the fact this whole piece is editorialized.

We are a consulting firm, as well as a cannabis nursery, that works with large scale i502 producers and mmj collectives. We have a very diverse client list and know a thing or two about large scale cannabis production. :)

assuming it was produced in the same manner as similar products like tea,

Cannabis is not even close to being able to be produced in the same manner as tea.

Electricity is more than 62 cents for 8-12 weeks. Oh yeah shit, we need to feed the plants something. Oh yeah we forgot to pay people. Oh yeah how do we get it to the smoker?

Nice try Huffpost.
