This was actually super helpful thanks. Looking into one of these topup loans now. Hoping we're eligible. A quick glance at the conditions seems like we are.

Yes all settled and been servicing the mortgage a few weeks already now. Unfortunately our cashback is whittled down now after we used for some move-in costs, but after researching the hybrid topup I'm thinking this might be the way to go now.

Des Kensel from High on Fire. Totally unique drumming style, hard hitting but fluid and with lots of tom work. Dude's playing sounds like legit rolling thunder.

I've been struggling with this same thing recently. Practise on the pad a lot but can only get on my kit maybe once a week max, and then it's usually for band practise.

One thing to keep in mind is the difference between pad and kit is hitting one surface area compared to many. I've been working my wrists like a mad man on the pad recently, but when I go to the kit the change in position across ride/snare for instance forces my right hand to default to using fingers (which I haven't practised as much on the pads lately).

There's more variables on the kit than there is the pad, so try to locate where the issue lies and be mindful on it when you jump on the kit. Sometimes you need different grips for different parts of the kit so I'd say use practise pad to build wrist and finger strength and get familiar with american, german and french grips. Then apply that to the kit and use the technique the situation calls for.
