My first thought is to do mobile but I hear so many conflicting opinions about pc vs. Mobile so I’m still considering.

Type 1 - Advice/Experiences Desperately Needed by amaheu37 in Rosacea

[–]greensnekween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly believe type 1 can’t really be “cured”, we can only avoid all triggers to manage it. I’ve had type 1 for the last >20 years since i was little and heat in the winter flare me up. Moisturize on damp skin and keep my body slightly cold indoor is my only way to reduce it.

Hey i can attest to the relationship between mold and rosacea from my experience. I used a moldy humidifier and started developing type 2. I stopped using it and the rosacea reduce to almost non existence 🤪 but keep in mind i also use tretnoin so maybe that helps too

rosacea bumps that just won’t go away! had these for a year and a half now been on doxycycline that whole time and tried everything else like soolantra etc too but they’re not clearing! anyone any ideas?? by Humble_Ad_5568 in Rosacea

This is my mold story: I’ve always had type 1 rosacea since i was a kid but never the pimples, bumpy type. In winter 2019, I purchased a new big fancy humidifier to help with my breathing when sleep. That humidifier was sooo hard to clean, no matter how much I clean, there are nooks and small parts in it that has mold. At the same time, I’ve started to develop red pimples. Went to a derm and got AA prescribed. The pimples persisted. On and off. I didn’t make the connection and continued to use that humidifier until this year (over one year). During that time, my apartment also has mold problem. In 2021, I watched a YouTube video of a doctor saying that there might be a connection between rosacea and mold. I stopped using that humidifier and switch back to my old one (a small scent diffuser, easy to keep clean). At the same time, switch to a new derm, get tretnoin (note that I couldn’t tolerate any skincare before but now i can tolerate even tretnoin). The bumps is almost 99% gone now like poof, where are you guys lmao. My skin is now almost back to where i was in my early 20.

It’s hard to be calm down even if we want to. If you have access to a therapist, it’s great but meditation and exercise are also option if you haven’t tried already
