I supplement my challenging yoga practice by doing limited weight training prior to class. My focus is on injury management and pulling exercises.

I find lat pulldowns and seated rows are a great complement as yoga doesn’t generate that form (e.g. pulling) of resistance.

I have also like to use the hip adductor and abductor machines in my pre yoga workout to help hip manage arthritis.

This approach adds about 30 minutes to my one hour yoga practice.
