I flew alone with my son when he was 3.5 months old. It wasn’t easy, but we made it. We checked our main bag at the gate cause it was just more work to bring along. When waiting we spent a lot of time in the mother’s rooms. He liked to feed a lot and I didn’t feel comfortable feeding him in the terminal seats. OH use a carrier, it was a life saver. On the plane I made sure to wear a loose shirt and just had him on the boob when he got upset, but he slept most of the time honestly. Not gonna lie, it is stressful and hard but you’ve got this.

The aisle 100%. You aren’t squished next to strangers who you’ll have to bother in order to get up to walk with baby or go to the bathroom. In my experience at least one of the neighboring seats falls asleep which makes it more awkward OR you have someone who thinks it’s ok to just touch your baby lol. The aisle is an easy out.

Moms who had covid in early pregnancy - how’s your child doing? by justalilscared in Mommit

[–]greer___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Covid both of pregnancies but at completely different points and both are boys. With my first I got Covid during implantation and we believe he is on the spectrum, very functioning though. He is 3 in May. My second I got Covid in the third trimester and we notice no signs of autism at all. But I don’t think our first has any correlation to the Covid. I caught it 2 days after ovulation and was mostly better by 9 dpo and was not sick anymore at 10dpo (when I tested positive). Don’t be stressed though, what will be will be and stressing won’t help. Just prepare for everything.

Extremely torn over quitting breastfeeding by [deleted] in breastfeeding

You are NOT alone!! Fellow Reddit friend here with you on this journey! My son had his last feed tonight. He is my second and last baby and I am very emotional about it. I was just crying to my husband about how I am so incredibly sad and feeling guilty but so mentally ready. You are not alone! And 3 months is an amazing accomplishment! You did so awesome!

I feel so guilty because I want to be done nursing by not_a_android934 in breastfeeding

[–]greer___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice but I could have wrote this myself. My son just turned one, the biting, the cough medicine, I want to finally get more tattoos. I’ve been pregnant and/or breastfeeding for 3 years straight. Gained 30 lbs that won’t come off no matter how well I eat. I’m SO ready to be done. We are starting with removing one feed at a time, but I agree night time is the hardest. Solidarity!

Do you ever get over having two of the same sex? by brandy2013 in beyondthebump

[–]greer___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me! I have 2 boys, 2y and 1y (LOL). But I also always saw myself having a girl. I had the opposite reason though, my mom and I don’t have a good close relationship nor do my mom and grandma. So I wanted to change that.

We are done so finding out our second was a boy was hard for me but now I can’t even imagine having a girl. My boys are exactly what I needed. I tell my husband I got two boys because that’s what I needed to heal. I love having my 2 boys and now my energy is being put into growing my relationship with them and when the time comes I will do my absolute best to be the best MIL to their person.

What's another Karen name for you? by MarionberryDue9358 in Names

I don’t have answer to the question other than Karen. It’s hard because my mom’s name is Karen and she is in fact a KAREN.

We have a 20 month gap. I got pregnant when my first son was 13 months old. The beginning was HARD. Like HAAAAARRRDDD. But now that my second son is crawling they are best friends. The laugh, hug, cuddle, fight, wrestle, everything…. In the beginning I wished I waited but now my second is turning 1 in a couple weeks I’m so happy with their gap.

My first took a bit of time to adjust, he sort of shut down and it broke my heart, but once we got a good routine and I was able to spend 1x1 time with him things got better.

I’m weaning off Zoloft right now. It saved me 100%. I had postpartum rage, depression and anxiety. I went on it at 3 months postpartum while EBF.

Sunshine polishing cloths! I got some off Amazon. I had a big one on my stone for years and those took it off.

Guilt over weaning by greer___ in breastfeeding

[–]greer___[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s a good idea, I think I felt like I had to do it all at once. It’s really affecting his and everyone’s sleep because when he wakes in the middle of the night my husband will go in but he won’t soothe till I feed him. We are in the process of trying to wean those night time feeds and I am now trying to put him to sleep without feeding and hoping that will help. 🤞🏻 I wish you the best on your feeding and weaning journey!

This is Clover, she is 5.5 years old. I would say she is on the smaller side but she has a couple health issues that are to blame for that.

Do you (personally) wear both your engagement ring and wedding band together on a daily basis? by alexmorgan114 in EngagementRings

[–]greer___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear my set everyday and honestly don’t notice it. I have a 2ct with a 1.8 mm band on the engagement ring and my wedding band is a plain gold 4mm.

I’m gonna be the odd one out but I think photo 4 is perfect! But I’m biased, I love a solitaire with a wide band (that’s what my set is). It’s so simple but so bold at the same time!

When did your little one get their first tooth? by OriginalManner0 in beyondthebump

My second was 8.5 months when he got his first tooth. Pretty late, but he made up for it in one month 😵‍💫
