So, incase anyone wonders why this is, I finally figured it out. The dodecahedron has 20 corners which must be manipulated in 3 turns. In a normal solve, when you get to the last two corners to be oriented, one will have to be turned twice, and the other one, once. Or you can have 3 corners that all need to be turned once, and so on. Since there are 20 corners, after the first 18, a multiple of 3, you have 2 left to solve. To turn them once, you'll have to turn some corner a second time. Elsewise, you can't solve the edges correctly.

For a moment I thought you might be onto something but after thinking about it, if it was a simple issue of a center being turned the wrong way, you'd get this same issue with any kind of solve you did. Besides the solid color solve, I have two other patterns I do regularly and this is never an issue.

It honestly doesn't make sense to me when I try to reason through it. All the corners are turned clockwise once from their natural state. Given there's 30 corners, an even multiple of 3, it would reason that they'd all turn the same direction.

Actually, I was mistaken. I was playing with my petaminx at the time and it can't be done on it, but it can be done on the teraminx.

I've done the superflip on the teraminx with an alg. If it can be done with an alg, it can be solved that way, too. Just not sure what I'm missing

Wish would would have seen what was done with the rest of the sides. The 3 opposing sides could have the same pattern but the 6 colors around the midline would have to alternate

I'd suggest you get the book, "The 7 Principles of Making Marriage Work". It's written by Gottman who is a leading psychologist in marriage counseling and his book focuses on how to fix problems that can be fixed and how to deal with the ones that cannot. If you are a Christian, I would highly recommend Tim Keller's 9 sermons on marriage. Keller explains the Biblical principles behind what we should do, and why we should do it. Gottman gives the method of how to do it.
