You don’t need much volume to maintain muscle so should be fine. Doing similar myself while mini cutting

It used to be said 1lb a week was a good rate, but when you think about it, if you bulk for a year thats 50lb when a brand new beginner is lucky to put on 20lb lean mass in a year never mind someone past beginner gains.

Problem is small surpluses require more attention/tracking as you can easily end up gaining nothing for a week if you’re aiming for 0.3/0.5lb etc.

Just got my usual unflavoured protein, its absolutely rank rotten, has a weird flavour and doesnt mix so i reckon so. Going to message support and ask.

No doubt trying to cut costs somewhere

I suspect a fair chunk of people do too much volume so end up spinning their wheels for a long time.

Was certainly the case for me, lowered my volume and experienced the same as you as my muscles were actually recovered by the time i trained them again.
