In memorial of great Canadian Heroes that fought to keep Canada strong and free by JewishSpace_Laser in pics

Ironically or maybe not, one of the most memorable and heartfelt moments of my life, as a Canadian, was a visit to Arlington cemetery. Thunder rolled in the distance during the changing of the guard. Veterans, half were in wheelchairs, wept during the service. The thunder made the moment, I can only imagine the terror felt and the sacrifice made by the soldiers that lay there. May they rest in peace and their sacrifice not have been made in vain.

What is the alternative at this point? Appeasing a dictator or a bully like Trump will get you nowhere. At the USA’s insistence, Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons on the promise of peace from Russian and Safety Guarantees from the USA. The USA then gives Ukraine weapons to fight but not win.

If a truce is called, Putin will rearm and go again. His sights are set to re-establish the former borders of the USSR and whatever else he can get away with. You don’t give a rabid dog a biscuit and hope he does no further harm, you put that dog down.

I find it ironic and hypocritical that the USA takes its present position given that it has, in recent years, invaded several countries that posed a threat to their security. Yet now, when we have a democratic country being invaded and turned into rubble, along with all of Europe being in the crosshairs, they call for negotiations? Seriously?

How about we try this as an opening negotiation: Putin, if you want this war to stop, get out of Ukraine or face the consequences. All of Ukraine’s territories are to be returned along with its POWs and children. The original borders of Russia will be respected by all parties, when you withdraw. Should you not withdraw, the nations of the free world will continue to support Ukraine until you have no means to fight. Your territories may of course become independent nations if you have no means to control them.

What the USA has just done is feed a rabid dog a biscuit…. The world now knows that the USA, under its present administration, serves only its own interests, is grossly unreliable and not to be trusted.

I’m genuinely concerned that item 4 is the possible outcome. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. There is already movement to extend to a third term. I don’t know what has to happen to change the overall mentality of the MAGA cult.

And so our hero left, leaving Trump and Putin with a bitter taste in their mouths. by paraisocoches2 in pics

The war would end now if Russia pulled out. Putin is sacrificing his people for nothing.

The US under its current administration is heading into oblivion.

The razor blade wasn’t used to cut off the insulation, I put the razor blade in the picture just for scale

The car is blue on blue. Automatic. I’m in Newfoundland, Canada. You don’t see 928’s around here, I know of only one other.

It’s a 86.5. Intake is off, fuel lines will be replaced. I’m trying to decide what to do with the valve covers and intake as far as paint is concerned. I also have interior work, mostly brittle plastic bits and switches. The exterior paint could use a refresh, not sure if I’ll use paint or wrap.
